@sandylanceley @conspiracynews_ No vax - he’d still be here. Vax - on top of his lifestyle and any underlying conditions - killed him. Gov already paid out millions in compo for side effects including myocarditis etc so u can’t win an argument to say it had no impact.

This article is utter tosh, whatever one's position on Trump, Pope Leo XIV, or the morality of the Iran war. Essentially every paragraph is nonsense. It reads like borderline satire at times. One example of the idiocy of the piece among others, I quote "... 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘴", which is a truly insane thing to write, given that the first salvo of the war was literally a double-tap on a school that killed ~150 schoolgirls. It's puzzling this embarrassing piece passed an editor at the Times. thetimes.com/comment/column…

Liberalism is utter mental brain rot. To say Gout Gout is as Australian than Billy Hughes and Tony Abbott is preposterous. Left wing thought means ignoring biological reality to retain your moral virtue, it means denying that your own ethnic group exists, it means that your own group is always the worst group and it must be displaced by other incoming ethnicities. Utter mental gymnastics. Australians are a British Isles people who forged a nation under the southern cross. Gout Gout may be a lovely chap, he may run fast, he may speak with an Australianised accent, but he is clearly ethnically from Sudan. If everyone can hit the magic soil and become Aussie, then what of the actual Australians, what about those who are already here? If Australia is for everyone, then it is for no one.
Peter Fox 🦊@Peter_Fox59

@blegg2 @TrackGazette Gout Gout was educated at Ipswich Grammar. He was born in Queensland to parents who arrived in Australia years earlier. He is as Australian as Billy Hughes, Tony Abbott, Olivia Newton-John, Jimmy Barnes & John Farnham, althought those 5 were all born overseas.

Australia’s support for Ben Roberts-Smith remains unequivocal. This decorated veteran, one of our most courageous soldiers, deserves the full backing of the nation he served with distinction. ADF officers and leaders should have the courage to publicly voice their support for him and for the men who fought alongside him in the brutal reality of Afghanistan. Presumption of innocence is not optional, it is fundamental. Those who sent our soldiers into harm’s way should now stand firmly behind them instead of allowing a hero to face this process alone. We do not abandon our warriors.

Yesterday, Hungary has chosen a new direction. With 98% of the votes counted, we have secured 138 seats in the 199-member parliament, representing more than 3.1 million votes. We also expect to win two additional individual constituencies once ballots from voters casting their votes away from their place of residence are fully counted. The Hungarian people have granted the Tisza Party a constitutional majority with a clear mandate: to restore the rule of law and return Hungary to its rightful place in Europe, among democratic nations. To everyone who helped us achieve this victory: thank you. From this moment on, we will work to earn your trust every single day.

Viktor Orbán has been a very consequential PM - probably the most consequential Hungary has ever had. The economy has strengthened, the city of Budapest has been transformed, and Hungary’s family policies and determination to keep its culture have been studied around the world. He and I differed on Ukraine but I thought he was dead right to defy the EU, on illegal immigration especially. Why should a sovereign nation be bullied by Brussels into policies that would jeopardise its future as a distinct people? Under Orbán, Budapest became something of a haven for conservative intellectuals. This has been a significant point of soft power for Hungary and I don’t expect the new government will want that to change.

Too on point not to share, “Aussie reply to Trump rant about NATO not being there for us. Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you. And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. "NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your fucking mouth. Credit (borrowed from) Jim Scroggins - original author 📷 unknown”

Today could be a big turning-point. If Hungary votes to oust Viktor Orbán, Putin’s (and, weirdly, Trump’s) ally inside the EU and NATO will be gone. The EU can give more help to Ukraine, which is anyway doing better on the battlefield. And the tide could turn against populism.

Well, I don't agree or accept your opinion that Orban is a thug nor a puppet of Putin in the EU. Hungary is a member State of the EU while the true thugs operating out of Brussels have done everything, bar assassination, to remove Orban from office. Putin has been consistent throughout the SMO in Ukraine. That Ukraine is not a member of the EU but is somehow a priority for the EU, over and above the lives of people living in the EU is reprehensible. Putin, in my view, he is the master Statesman. Through his leadership, Russia has survived bone-crushing sanctions, Western duplicity and absurd demonization, not just of Putin, but all Russians. I will not accept an ignorant utility as justification for any subjective assumptions on another human being. I cannot believe you would? The only common ground is the outrageous posturing of JD Vance.
