Does it mean the team @ASEAN were trying to legitimize those #Myanmar's military BUTCHERS and community. The reason is that our country is a country under a military dictatorship that is experiencing such incidents. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

A town assembly in Japan ousted its comatose mayor with a no-confidence motion. The mayor of Hachirogata has been in a coma for months and even though his family tried to submit a resignation letter by proxy, it was deemed invalid because Japanese law required the mayor himself must notify the assembly when resigning. With no sign of the mayor recovering sufficient consciousness in the near future, the town assembly decided that passing a no-confidence motion was the only legal way to have the mayor step down in this situation. The assembly chair said, “This was not a matter of confrontation, so it was not something we originally wanted to submit. However, because this is what the law requires, we decided to proceed in this direction so that the townspeople would not be inconvenienced.”

🇯🇵 Many foreign people have no idea about the drama that's currently unfolding in conservative circles in Japan so I will update you on this. It mostly involves a TV personality in Japan named Fifi (フィフィ). Fifi is a Muslim lady from Egypt who's lived here for 40+ years but has spoken out against Islamism, Islamic immigration, public praying, etc. I've translated many of her videos before. She's always said that her religion is a private matter and she thinks Muslims should integrate. Recently, there's been some controversy at various airports, train stations, etc. with Muslims demanding separate prayer rooms. Most of us have come out against this as it emboldens Muslims. To the surprise of many, Fifi, who had previously spoken out against these things, in a live stream, strongly advocated for installing prayer rooms in public places like airports and shopping malls. She called it "international common sense" and said every country has them. She insulted opponents as "baka na Nihonjin" (stupid Japanese) and said our heads were "crazy" for resisting. She is currently facing heavy criticism from many conservatives in Japan for her comments. Her comments come across as very rude and her behavior also plays into the idea that Muslims are always Muslims at the end of the day. Also, she is currently involved in an argument with a prominent conservative activist (with whom she allegedly had an affair). A deeply unfortunate situation.

"Do you know what these are?" Prime Minister Takaichi delivered a speech at a Vietnamese university that started with a "quiz" showing a picture of a Nintendo Switch and Apple AirPods. She was highlighting how Vietnam is now producing high tech products.

Holy clickbait: a big Japanese account shared a link about the shell that exploded inside a JGSDF tank, killing three people: "was it made in China (Chugoku)?" There's a Japanese chemical & munitions company called Chugoku Kaiyaku, named after the Chugoku region of Japan.

This video of foreign tourists is going viral in Japan because they don't seem to realize the red line on the floor of their hotel room is meant to show where they need to take off their shoes. Overseas it's not rare to wear shoes inside hotel rooms.

South Korea jails American YouTuber for public nuisance American livestreamer Johnny Somali, who caused outrage in South Korea by kissing a statue representing World War Two sex slaves, has been sentenced to six months in jail. Seoul authorities charged him for public nuisance in November 2024 after he posted a clip of himself kissing and performing lap dances on the statue while visiting South Korea. He has been barred from leaving the country since then. The 25-year-old, whose real name is Ismael Ramsey Khalid, is known for his provocative content which has led to him being banned from several streaming platforms. He has also been accused of harassing people while travelling in Japan and Israel. On Wednesday a South Korean court convicted Khalid of multiple charges, including for being a public nuisance and distributing sexual deepfakes. "The defendant repeatedly committed crimes against unspecified members of the public to generate profit via YouTube and distributed the content in disregard of Korean law," the court said. Jailed for 6 months .. bit harsh or just right?

This video has been going viral on Japanese social media. It shows a boy explaining that Japanese kids can't play in a public basketball court at Yoyogi Park because it's been taken over by foreign adults with one even telling him to f*** off. This is how social trust starts to decline.

It’s properly shit right now isn’t it 😂 but please don’t let it get to you. A few weeks back after Forest, I caught myself getting properly down, even snapping at family. Embarrassing. I had to have a word with myself. It’s not worth it. We’re all powerless. We’ve watched from afar while the owners and leadership have fucked it up over and over again, and there is nothing we could’ve done about it, nothing would have changed anything. They never listened to fans, Levy despised us. Vinai ignored us, We are a nuisance. I couldn’t give a shit about the other clubs, the fans banter and all that, fuck ‘em. Let them laugh if they can’t see this for what it is. We and this club has been fucked over by greed, it’s disgusting, it’s not banter, it’s a clear sign of owners and leaders who care for nothing apart from their own pockets. We are constantly told that Levy was a business genius, was he fuck, that Vinai is the best in the business, is he bollocks, greed, incompetence, arrogance and the biggest failure in the history of the league. That’s on them, not us. No matter what happens, Tottenham will still exist, we will just be playing different teams. I’ll still be in Tottenham with my mates, so will you, a few beers, having a laugh, watching the football. It’s as simple as that. Cheer up. It ain’t over yet, we will still get behind them and hope they click, but don’t let it drag you down. Up the Spurs!
