Civil debate is the cornerstone of a functional society, and Congress and the Administration must work together to avert a government shutdown. And everyone — HUD, public housing agencies, local and federal officials nationwide, and all our partners and stakeholders — must come together to ensure that families all across America have the homes and support they need to thrive. Whether we’re Democrats, Republicans, or independents, today we must all be Housers.

#WashCon25 ends with a wonderful new beginning. Today, 31 accomplished housers in cohort 2 of our Emerging LEADership program begin a six-month journey together as they hone their skills, learn with and from each other, and get ready to lead us all towards the future of #AffordableHousing.

What. A. Day! Not only did we get to meet #WhatHomeMeansToMe winner Adriana & her mom Michele, but an entire room of #WashCon25 advocates also lifted our voices and celebrated Adriana’s birthday with a song! Truly one of the highest points of an already amazing conference. -MT
