It only loses its value if you sell. My truck payment was 300 Gas was 250+ per month Insurance was 150 per month. Total: 700 per month. I sold my truck, bought a Y. Financed 20k Tesla payment: 300 Insurance: 100. Paid off after a few months from tsla earnings. My solar is paid off, electricity is free. Now I pay 100 for insurance, that’s it. I saved 600 dollars a month by owning my Model Y

When you bought the $50,000 Tesla Model Y to save on gas & maintenance. Then you learned: - It loses 20-35% of its value by year 3 - It loses 55-58% of its value by year 5 So by year 5 you lost $35,000+ of value? ....Congrats on saving ~$1,000/yr on gas.
