That which Is, is only one. Some call it Shakti, some Shiva, some Vishnu, some Jesus and some Allah. People give it whatsoever names they like. What does it matter if the names they give are different? That which Is, is only One. It is this state, where there is not the slightest trace of the 'I'-thought, that is the true Being of oneself. And that is called Quiescence or Mouna (Silence). This state of mere inherence in pure Being is known as the Vision of Wisdom. Such inherence means and implies the entire subsidence of the mind in the Self. Silence is the best and the most potent initiation. That was practised by Sri Dakshinamurti. Don't be completely consumed by thoughts. The present moment is absolute, perfect. Listen to them, watch them but don't let all your attention be drawn by thoughts. You don't need to go anywhere else if you truly recognise that this moment is perfect. Life is never not now. Don't let thoughts tell you what to do. Thoughts are lies. You don't need to believe them. You have the choice to disregard your thoughts by watching them keenly. In is the way out. Transcend the mind. Rise above thinking. Be still within.
