If you don't believe in miracles then hang around an AA meeting.
If you linger long enough and you’ll see the impossible become possible. Things like the dregs of society—people who are clearly beyond redemption—turn their lives around.
It doesn’t happen overnight, but it happens all the time,
Zombies walk in, humans walk out.
I’m a recovering addict and alcoholic. Sober for 12 years now.
I didn’t think there was a way out. Because when you’re in it—when you’re deep in addiction—you can’t see the exit.
The substances rob of of that. They make you think there's no chance of escape.
What I found at my first meeting was a group of men and women who’d been thru the exact same thing. And somehow, against the odds, they found a way out.
I realized that if they could do it then I could too. I saw that light at the end of the tunnel. And it saved my life.
Was I a zombie when I walked in? I’m not really sure, but I was close.
I still had a family and a house and money in the bank, but I was a mess, and going down fast.
I don’t recognize that person who walked in a dozen years ago. Because I cleaned myself up, and I turned my life around.
Some people walk in voluntarily. But others need a push.
A lot of people come in because a judge made them do it. The typical choice is mandatory treatment or a long stint in big-boy prison. So they do the treatment.
And if they apply themselves—if they’re honest with themselves—they can turn their lives around.
No, this doesn’t work for everyone. Some people can’t get it. Even when they get the chance they won’t do what’s needed to save themselves.
But I’ve seen this work enough times to know that it’s worth trying. And it’s better than the alternative, which is letting people live on the street and commit slow suicide.
Our so called “homeless” problem isn’t about lack of housing.
It’s about drugs.
It’s all drugs.
And in large cities controlled by The Machine it’s been aided and abetted by government and corrupt NGOs.
These people can get their lives back. They don’t have to live like this, but they need a push.
Vote for Spencer Pratt. And if you can’t vote in Los Angeles then give. Every little donation helps to fight The Machine.
We can transform zombies—the people beyond hope—back into humans.
I know we can.
I see it all the time.
Because miracles are real.
