@nickthomas1968 I am sorry to hear about your experience. If you need further assistance, please feel free to send us a direct message. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Hotpoint.
No @HotpointUK . If an engineer has to remove an item of clothing from the user inaccessible sump, then there is a fault with the washing machine. That's not a user error, and there will be no call out charge of £75. This was confirmed on the day by the engineer. #ConsumerRights
@HotpointUK I'm not an Engineer either. But, I do know how to use a washing machine. I put dirty clothes in through the door in the front. And, after the cycle is complete, I take the clean clothes out from the same door. That's the normal process.
@HotpointUK Could you please clarify:
* How a full garment is able to enter the drain sump during normal operation, and
* Whether this is a known issue with this model?
@HotpointUK The drain sump is not a user-accessible or user-serviceable part of the machine. As such, I would not reasonably expect a full garment to be able to enter this area during normal use. This suggests either a design limitation or a fault condition, rather than misuse.
@avivaplc - thank you for your invitation to reply in a private message - but I'm already doing that and it's getting nowhere. I'm doing this on social media in order to inform other members of the public who might be in a similar sorry position.
@avivaplc Please action the Court Order Pension Sharing Order for my side of the divorce settlement. My ex-wife can't make a decision what to do with her side of things - but that shouldn't stop you from actioning my side. Please apply some urgency to this.
NHS PAYS £8.53 PER PACK OF PARACETAMOL ON FREE PRESCRIPTION.
Just checked and it's 49 pence at Boots. Even cheaper at Home Bargains.
This is like the guy I saw at the pharmacy at Milton Keynes hospital picking up a tiny bottle of olive oil for his ears. How much is the #NHS paying for that?!
People need sacking for this.

@anon_opin Agree. Pay the job enough to entice quality people out of industry and have a go at running country. Politicians are good at politics - not so good at running a country.
MPs pay should be tripled. It's an extremely high profile, high pressure career with a lot of responsibility. But no second jobs. No consultancy gigs. No alternative income of any description.
If you're the selfish fuck that doesn't put the divider after your shopping on the checkout, mine is going immediately after yours, so you panic and think you're going to end up paying for mine.
The row over inheritance tax on farms misses the wider point.
Inheritance tax is a grotesque and immoral form of double taxation.
The estates of people who die are what’s left after they’ve already paid a lifetime of tax. Then the State grabs another 40%.
It’s just wrong.
This is going to sound wanky, but does anyone else have massive phone/text/message/mail anxiety? Need to do admin and reply to friends and the heart is predictably pounding. Everyday I promise myself ‘tomorrow’ and still I’m in avoidance. What is that all about?
Requiring USB-C on all devices was fine. But they should have required trains, buses, hotels, airports and anyone else offering charging points to update to USB-C by the same deadline given to device manufacturers. What a shit show.
