Quintina Brown, executive director of the Markham Park District in Illinois, arranged for a helicopter to land in a public park with kids playing nearby so her daughter could take prom photos. All nationalities are adjectives: Irish, Italian, Chinese, etc. Nor are the only things capitalized nationalities, e.g. Christian, Muslim, Hindu. And place adjectives: European, Asian, African. Those aren't nationalities either. We capitalize Jew, and no one knows what category that even is. An ethnicity? A religious community? Something else? So the question is really: Are racial groups the sorts of things that ought to be capitalized? "Asian" is by default. The Left, as you are aware, has decided that Black should be capitalized, but white should not. You do not like this, and I do not either. My way of doing it, though, is to capitalize both Black and White. Because that is equal and fair and everyone knows it. So, we capitalize Black because • it makes it fair to demand that White be capitalized also • which focuses attention on Whites AS a racial group, which is something currently politically necessary • This is tactical. It allows the Right to put the Left in a dilemma: Either they capitalize White or the do not. If they do, they further the goal of reawakening a sense of White group consciousness, very much against their will, because they are forced to admit that Whites are in fact equal to Blacks, and therefore if Blacks have a stake in their own racial group, so do Whites. If they do not, they further the goal of reawakening White racial consciousness, because it is manifestly a racist treatment of Whites not to afford them the same capital letter literally everyone else enjoys; the more they show themselves as anti-White racists, the more they squeeze, the more systems slip through their fingers. This seems a win/win game to me and I'm going to play it and encourage others to play it. Simply refusing to play the Left's game doesn't accomplish anything. It's much better to turn their game back on them.
