Mothers of Ireland, this is what Dublin Zoo thinks of you. ‘Mammies go free’ for Mother’s Day and this is the picture they use to promote it Who in the name of god signed off on this. They probably think, well everyone will share it so the whole country will be talking about us Perhaps, but not for the right reasons It’ll be interesting to see when they come looking for donations because footfall drops. This is simply beyond disgraceful

@Betgolfworld @WeaverRacing We can all agree on that however Stephen makes a very good living I’m sure from a sport where he expresses his opinion as an expert and has fooled some unsuspecting people about his knowledge and genuine racing people have maybe just had enough as it takes hard work to get there

@CorneliusRacing @SouthwellRacing Sir you are a racing journalist of huge repute but I hope it’s still ok to fundamentally disagree with this, I believe jump racing needs stars as a minority sport and this has removed its biggest.
I hope for mr Buckley and Henderson and most importantly the horse it works out

Not all will agree but this is the correct call & a relief - there’d have been a queue to hide in the loos during the #ChampionHurdle had he run.
The horse is now so important for the sport & @SouthwellRacing showed he’s good enough to win top flat races.

Michael Buckley and I have not surprisingly spent a lot of time soul searching and thinking over Constitution Hills future and have sadly concluded that he will not be running in the Unibet Champion Hurdle the week after next. Last Friday night was for us all a magical occasion and we so appreciated his popularity and the love and admiration everybody showed to Conrad , as he is fondly called here. It was a terrific night for both him, us, and I believe British Horse Racing and we are very aware of the public perception and the possible consequences of running over hurdles and feel it is not fair to ask him and Nico to do it again. He showed on Friday night that he has another career in front of him that could possibly take us all to new playing fields. I would like to thank the thousands of Constitution Hills supporters and admirers that have shared their sentiments with us and advice on how we should proceed, and I would have to say the poll was as near 50/50 as you could get. This is a sad day for a lot of us, particularly the National Hunt fraternity that would have liked to have seen Constitution Hill try to regain his crown and sad for all here especially Nico who has spent so much time trying to iron out our jumping issues. However he leaves the jumping world sound & happy and ready for the next chapter. It has been a staggering journey so far and Michael has had to endure some dark days but of course enjoyed the enormous highs and thrills of an extraordinary horse. Cheltenham have kindly invited Constitution Hill to parade on Champion Hurdle day to give all his National Hunt supporters the opportunity to say goodbye.

@nolanjam @6Dutchgold Jumping is in the blood of many a horse that can't jump. And nobody disagrees that if he gets around, he wins. It's the fact he finds it so hard to get around that's the problem. The narrative of the risk being there in NH is a lazy one. Clearly more risk for Constitution Hill

Constitution Hill comes with less risk in the champion hurdle than a novice chaser in its beginners chase per se?
