@CARNDARAK honestly the forced hate on this game is fucking nauseating, I get that it doesn't hit the mark that poe does on a lot of shit but it's not supposed to nor is it trying to been enjoying my time with it too, glad it'll be worth at least looking at every season from now on

Day 3 of Diablo 4 new expansion and it looks like there's gonna be a Day 4, hate to admit it but I'm actually having fun, D4 maybe not so bad anymore

@CodeRed_dev Roguelikes are one of the simplest ways of solving the problem of replayability and content. A lot of what would be considered problems are taken as normal (metaprogression gating) and the random nature of it gets people into trying more runs to find "the fun".

I'm watching the last T1 sf6 vod and wdym these 1500-1600mr players are doing suboptimal punish combos that only do 1-2k dmg??? the 1300mr LATAM players I go against at 3am easily do 5-6k dmg combos LIKE I'M GOING CRAZY WHY DO NORMIE HOUR PLAYERS SUCK SO MUCH WORSE

@comicbooklundy Steam has a very cool feature called remote play together, effectivel merging couch coop with a friend online by simulating their actions on your keyboard/mouse. Its very handy for these situations.

It's wild to me that some video games have couch co-op but not online multiplayer. Couch co-op was killed of mostly by video game companies pushing multiplayer.

@_linnamon_ ironically my poor experiences with localization tend to be with chinese games. For example, tale of immortal, matchless kungfu and xiuzhen idle. Japanese machine translation in the other hand, such as in Elin, is good enough to not disrupt gameplay

@tairanakamura i've played three games related to amazon so far. i would play the next one aswell if its a promissing MMO. If the fun lasts two months, thats fine. Just making sure to not be too financially invested since thats wasted money. Its difficult to make lasting live service products.

@denneko_yugi look no further than "shroud fps" which was a massive flop. That said, there are good examples. The lead designer of GGG started as an avid player, joined as Q&A, and climbed through the ranks. Octavian was a content creator for poe and is also there as a designer now.

@Anilahati0n @BeauSampson23 @Slootbag Theres one single interesting mod on that item, which is the reload aspect. The rest is just ridicdulous dmg scaling and +skills (which is also bad on poe2). If you want an interesting bow, try xophs blood, iron commander, reach of the council. its not "your skill do funny now".

Maybe hot take but the new Diablo 4 skill trees are kinda shit You spend like ~30% of your points making somewhat ok/fun choices and the rest is just a boring numbers dump into abilities up to 15 points

@fura "solo dev" and "indie studio" are often used as a bait to market a product, often accompanied by sob stories of extreme hardship to finally publish the game. Theres a lot of legit stories out there, but if i see someone actively marketing their suffering (as a dev) its a red flag

@PunishedFroves @kunaiss Theres a bunch of softwares out there that mess up with steam. achievement unlockers, playtime unlockers, etc. A buddy of mine is into that shit and he has 10k hours on every game and all achievements in the same day. It even works with steam family shared games.

@LittlePlanetCD Its to stay away from google search. although theres still traces outside, not having direct access to look up what the team said/did is a small safety measure. This is often weaponized against players, most devs killed forums and moved to discord for the same reason.

@shinobi602 Greedfall 2 shat the bed hard. 1 was decent, had some major setbacks preventing it from being great but still a pleasant game. I guess they weren't happy with the combat being "passable" and completely changed directions entirely...not every change is good.

@GhazzyTV Yeah for me the issue is paying two expansions. I don't hate the game, it was dogshit at launch but i didn't take the game seriously and had some fun for a few weeks. now im supposed to spend a bunch of money to do the same thing, its just not worth it.

D4 campaign has been the most enjoyable time I've ever spent in D4. If endgame reflects the campaigns quality and brings properly replayability via the War Plans D4 might actually have become "D4 Good". Only sad state about it is that it took them 3 years and having to buy the game 3 times to get there. Imagine the reception if the game launched in the state that Lord of Hatred delivered..

@Avalanchea_ @nzsonleo @pathofexile i believe that delve hub is tied to the current delve chunks loaded (since clicking to get back to surface doesn't have a loading screen), and thats why it isn't the same as your hideout or kingsmarch. It makes sense within the current logic, the whole system needs a rework

@nzsonleo @pathofexile YES! And even weirder that in hideout the corpses from raised specters DO drop on the ground when you unequip the gem. In delve safe zone you CAN drop items, but corpses vaporize

Hey @pathofexile, if you unequip a spectre gem in delve the corpses just vaporize. Definitely not how I imagined my SSF run to end. It is one of the worst experiences I've had in this game in my 14 years playing. It is ridiculous that we still don't have a good spectre UI/UX🤦

@Avalanchea_ @pathofexile its especially funny when you realize that spectres took a long ass time to come to poe2 precisely cause they didn't want it to be absolute ass. Meaning, poe2 players need the best experience possible (early access product), poe1 dogs can afford to get shit for a decade.
