h3-js v4.1.0 is now up on npm 🎉 npmjs.com/package/h3-js This version fixes the bundle for React Native and Web Workers, and includes the new functions cellToChildPos and childPosToCell - I'll put up a new notebook soon to demo some of the new use cases they support.

Today is my last day at Foursquare. Since joining Unfolded in 2020, I've learned SO much from the brilliant team. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work on such a cool product, and I really think we made vector+raster data more accessible. Best of luck to the team going forward

Just to reiterate the release notes: H3 v4 does not change the cell indexes themselves. It's 100% compatible with existing data, using the same hexagons you know and love ⬣❤️⬣❤️⬣

For h3-js users, npm/yarn should protect you from breaking changes until you're ready to upgrade. But if you use an *unpinned* version of h3-js, e.g. in @observablehq notebooks, you'll want to pin the import to 3.7.2 to avoid errors.
