The ASA was protesting Anthem's decision to try to stop anesthesiologists billing them for work they didn't actually do by paying them the same rate that Medicare pays them for the procedures they do. Medicare's rate is fair, but anesthesiologists hate it.

To be clear, according to Trump the 25% tariffs will not be implemented, or if implemented will be removed, once Mexico and Canada stop the flow of illegal immigrants and fentanyl into the U.S.
In other words, @realDonaldTrump is going to use tariffs as a weapon to achieve economic and political outcomes which are in the best interest of America, fulfilling his America first policy.
This is a great way for Trump to effect foreign policy changes even before he takes office.

Good thread to go through the rationale for vaccinating newborn babies with HepB.
Questions :
1. Why not test mom for Hep B ?
2. Scientists care so much about vaccine safety in the US that they continue to recommend healthy young teenagers get the Covid booster in 2024.
Doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Hep B is transmitted through sex and blood. Chronic hep B causes liver failure (cirrhosis), liver cancer and death. The vaccine prevents these.

@anish_koka Remember Anish, a large percent of women were vaccinated against hepatitis B as children. We don’t offer the hepatitis b vaccine to women who are immune already. We only “offer” it to women who are non immune (based on testing)

They are frightened, suffering, vulnerable people.
The word "patient" derives from the Latin meaning "suffering."
They deserve professionals totally committed to their well-being.

There are Asian kids with a 1300 SAT and a 3.6 gpa that won’t get into the state college.. or not get into medical school at all.

His GPA score is 97.3%, SAT score is 1560, enrolled in a top high school, does tons of extracurricular work. He was rejected by multiple colleges. They call this equity and inclusion.
