I'm sorry to spiral on main but I'm so upset. This picture was taken when I was 4 and living with my sister. my mom briefly sent me to live with my dad's 19 year old daughter. It wasn't until I was 20 that my sister told me how neglected I was when she got me. she had to cut my hair to get the lice out. My ear piercings were so infected that she had to put me in a cold bath to break the fever. I wouldn't eat anything without asking her first, even though she told me I didn't have to ask and basically begged me to stop. Now I'm learning that a few months after this photo, when I was back with my mom, I went so long without eating that I went into ketosis. How many more new things am I going to have to remember and heal from

While it's nice to think "he won" he's still going to have to endure what'll likely be a months if not years long legal battle before he sees a dime. All while living with the trauma that this could happen to him again, anywhere, at any time. Simply for the color of his skin.
