If you are a home owner in any major city in India, pls don't be a chindi person and try and give back as much deposit back to the tenants. Unless the damages are significant. Regular wear and tear of living like spots on the wall, some holes being drilled this is not a reason to deduct unreasonable amounts. I have 2 houses and I don't behave like this. But whenever I rent, I don't understand why home owners want to deduct the maximum out of deposit from the tenant. Very cheap!

Excited to share that I have enrolled in University College London's (@UCLLaws) PhD programme on a fully funded UCL Faculty of Laws Research Scholarship, under the supervision of Profs. Jeff King (@jeff_a_king) and Erin Delaney (@efieldingd). (1/3)
