@mitliefde YUP even if it's a 'serious' thing but if it gets perceived over and over again it'll get reduced into something so small until another trend rises.. and it's just sad that so small of a population r aware of that 😢 we need more people to be more aware of what they spread online

@opmsucker i feel like it all goes down to how when something becomes a trend it desensitizes people to it because they can see that a lot of people agree with them! so it becomes further perpetuated as a silly little trend and then embedded into people’s individual behaviors & into society

@opmsucker right! i once took interest in reading tiktok “discourse” through comments and it’s honestly woken me up to see the real effects of constantly consuming short form content. top that off with tiktok consumers’ dedication to herd mentality 😭 the future of critical thinking is over
