@remiopakunle @IamJomar_J That was how someone was saying the road is of low quality and I asked what is the definition of quality and he went mute. Another said it should have been 10lanes to take traffic and I said do you know how much per square meter it costs? He said Shebi they will steal the money.

I'll excuse any non-technical person making this suggestion tho, because they might not know that Trunk A inter-city expressways are designed for high speed, large volume traffic, and they are with controlled access, hence cyclists and pedestrians have no business on such roads.
Noble Igwe@Nobsdaslushhkid

If we are being serious , you’d agree that for a road that is being built in 2026 by the water side , the design of the Coastal Road could have been a lot better . I’m talking proper walking and cycling lanes . It’s too basic

@remiopakunle The takes Nigerians give on things they know nothing about. Trunk A road to have bicycle lane? I see many of them jogging by the side as if it is their community/estate road and I’m always wondering how people don’t see.

@MasterBolaji I doubt they have bought new transformers different from what the last administration procured. The transformers including mobile ones were being brought in, in batches hence the improvements in transmission capacity.

The truth about Nigeria’s electricity challenges in response to Peter Obi’s post the economic realities and the government’s efforts, backed by verifiable facts and data. Please read with an open mind. These are the real issues and the real facts. Breakdown: 👇
Peter Obi@PeterObi

“If I do not provide steady electricity in four years, do not vote for me for 2nd Tenure,” -BAT Thirty-two months after being incharge and instead of living by his powerful words, he now dumps National Grid that has been performing abysmally under his watch. Those were the powerful words then that inspired hope among Nigerians who longed for light in their homes, stability for their businesses, and growth for their nation. Yet, while Nigerians are still grappling with that unfulfilled, categorical electoral promise - and without clear communication on the obstacles, if any, we read of provision in 2025 budget about the ₦10 billion for solar power at Aso Rock, and in 2026 budget another humongous amount for upgrade and maintenance and now we are being scarcitically told that Presidential Villa has planned to be disconnected from the national grid to rely entirely on solar. It is a gross neglect and deeply worrisome when the seat of power abandons the national grid. One would expect government institutions to lead efforts to strengthen and expand the grid so that other establishments, and ultimately, citizens can benefit. If those in authority disconnect themselves from the system, who then will connect the ordinary Nigerian to reliable power? Promoting renewable energy, as solar systems do, is commendable and necessary for the future. However, this situation reflects a deeper concern: governance lacking compassion and commitment to the governed. You cannot tell the people to fast while feasting yourself, securing yourself while Nigerians remain unsecured. Nigerians do not expect 100% fulfilment of promises, but they do expect 100% effort, accompanied by measurable improvements and clear explanations when gaps exist. Leadership must serve the people, not isolate itself from their daily struggles. -PO

@MasterBolaji Installed capacity has not increased. They have been there without means of evacuation. Name one plant that have been added to the existing ones since 2023.

Now let’s talk about what has happened under BAT. Since 2023, installed generation capacity has increased to over 13,000 MW, even though available power fluctuates due to gas supply and grid constraints. That means infrastructure expansion is ongoing.

My key agendas for the next Lagos State governor: 1. Law & order. A core pillar of BRF’s admin that we’ve since lost. Stricter enforcement & real sanctions are needed. 2. Restructuring & redevelopment of major & suburban markets to make them modern & well-organized. Contd. 👇🏾

@tosin_omobash @MrFunshy @DeeOneAyekooto We should stop expecting people to have a foundation to become anything. He is selfish but not sick. It is his right to aspire to become anything, however it is not yet the turn of his fidipote. I think that should be the focus.

@MrFunshy @osogun @DeeOneAyekooto The man is sick and selfish. Not even qualified to be on the list in terms of humanitarian action, he just loves to collect from people and not even a small foundation to give back to the less privileged, or because he opened a bread shop, he thinks he's employing people.

If K1 De Ultimate is not eventually chosen as the next AWUJALE, let the process be fair and devoid of pedestrian blackmail we see today in the political circles. That he applied to be king doesn't make him the chosen one, however, let us not take matters personal as if choosing a king is a measure of retaliation or vendetta! It is ridiculous and evil to say K1 is not from the royal house or to even go to the deepest low of the gutters and say that he's not from Ijebu. Rivalry should have boundaries and hate must have a limit. Don't be ridiculous! K1's career is Music. He is today, a force in the music industry and one of the most respected and successful musicians in Nigeria. He is into recreation business too and of course, he is a political figure. The most revered Awujale Adetona made him the Olori Omo Oba of Ijebu and this wasn't done in secret. But because he shows interest in his forefathers throne, then his enemies locally and outside Awujale jurisdiction start to attack and blackmail him thinking he may be supported by powers that be to clinch it, FAR FROM IT. While all princes have their rights to contest, no-one should blackmail others into silence! Let the kingmakers and the State institutions do the needful screening, evaluate security and criminal records of all applicants, consult the Oracle and choose the new Awujale for Ijebuland. Content creators should park very well.
