This reminds me of my dad in the 80s working with Volkswagen, after MILE 2. He headed the unit responsible for crushing dented cars, Santana, Beetle, cars that couldn’t be sold as new. One day, his assistant suggested they could secretly move the dented cars through the back gate and sell them, instead of crushing them. My dad refused. My dad went on leave, When he returned, things had changed. His assistant had taken over his position, and somehow, my dad just lost interest in the job, and resigned. Months later, that same assistant had became very wealthy. Today, the man is late but his family is still very very rich. That was the beginning of that family’s generational wealth.

Are you insane? Who is defending terrorists because of Islam? Please leave my replies with this nonsense. Seems like you are so new to the idea of gathering information before jumping to a conclusion that you think anybody who doesn’t froth at the mouth to call someone a terrorist with limited info must be on their side. Go touch grass.

One thing foreigners deeply misunderstand about West African culture is that there is no established hierarchy. A foreigner who leads is gentle because his position in the hierarchy is established. He knows his place and others do too. In West Africa, every position is up for grabs. There is no inherent hierarchy, so the leaders must always actively fight to maintain their position, people will be deferential when you have the power, but as soon as you start losing it, they will move on. A long term culture of village-style democracy and a lack of aristocrats means that anyone can genuinely become anything if the circumstances are right. So nobody feels anyone is entitled to any position.

@OlakitanFagbuyi @KaiUzama lost me at “we didn't interact before colonialists came” cos that's untrue. One of the sins of colonialism was erasing a complex network of trade in West Africa. ‘Yoruba”, “Igbo”were precolonial markers mostly based on language not centralised political groups aka tribes.

In France for example North African men have a telegram group to dox North African women who date black men. This level of extremism simply doesn't exist amongst black men. Trying to pretend we police who black women date is hilarious. It's black men who get policed.

One day we'll be able to have a real convo about how women in interracial relationships receive far more vitriol and violent rhetoric than men in interracial relationships do because of men's perceived loss of ownership/control over Their Women.

The UK spends roughly £6 million per day, around £2 billion a year on hotel accommodations for “failed asylum seekers.” That is the responsibility they now want to hand over to Nigeria after praising Nigerian jollof. This same offer was made to Afghanistan, Eritrea, Sudan, Syria, Iran, Iraq, etc, and they all rejected. Now, out the £2b a year the UK will be saving from this deal, they offered Nigeria £746 million to refurbish two ports in Lagos. As part of the agreement, nearly half of the £746 million will go to British firms in supplier contracts. The British steel industry, which the Uk government admitted was suffering, will use this opportunity to rejuvenate. When the ports are done, the UK will control Nigeria’s exports until that money is paid back. Yes, it’s a loan. This is what Tinubu, his wife, son and Tiwa Savage have gone to negotiate for Nigeria.

Chuck Norris didn’t fear death, death feared him. When it whispered “It’s time,” Chuck roundhouse-kicked it across the cosmos and said, “Fine. I’ll go… but only to keep the Devil in check.” Jesus met him at the gates, smiled, and accepted the legend with a fist bump. Now the sign reads: “Trespassers will be roundhouse-kicked. C.N. (Accepted by Jesus).” Chuck didn’t die. Jesus accepted the legend… and Heaven leveled up. -GothKing

“Why does the most unsafe region get a military base?” He asks, retardedly
Bello Saleh, PhD بيللؤ ساليح۔@bellosaleh

A video that has recently gone viral alleges that the @sultan_ofsokoto recently met with President @officialABAT and asked a simple question: If Nigeria needs a U.S. military base… why must it be in the North? Now hold that thought. Because a day or so later, Education Minster, @DrTunjiAlausa, on a UK trip with the President, is announcing below a partnership between his ministry, @NigEducation, and Coventry University to award UK degrees… in Nigeria. Location? Alaro, Lekki. Lagos. So let’s get this straight: One region gets foreign universities. Another gets proposed foreign military bases. Opportunity vs occupation. Books vs boots. Degrees vs drones. And no, this isn’t about Coventry University. That debate can wait. This is about a pattern. A pattern where development flows in one direction… And strategic burdens are shipped to another. Where Lagos gets foreign universities. The North gets foreign military bases. Coincidence? Maybe. But patterns, when repeated often enough, stop being accidents. They become policy. And the real tragedy? Other #Nigerian regions are too busy with petty politics to notice. And #Arewa, once the loudest political voice in the room, now watches in silence. Compromised. Muted. Managed. Docile. Absent. #AllahGaMuGareka
