@AniseNot My response to such attitude would be lol k byeeeeee and go to the gym alone that minute. Everyone needs some unencumbered time, especially for real exercise time.

If he keeps giving me attitude because I won’t go to the bouldering gym with the kids this morning I will give him attitude because HE NEVER TAKES BOTH OF THESE KIDS OUT OF THIS HOME WITHOUT ME BECAUSE HE SAYS “IT’S TOO DIFFICULT TO KEEP UP WITH THEM BOTH AT THE SAME TIME” YET ALMOST EVERY MINUTE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE & EVERYTHING I DO EVERY DAY, IS DONE WHILE KEEPING UP WITH BOTH KIDS

@JamesTate121 For the libertarian crowd, it used to be a family would move into a spot and that's what it was. If there was some structure there, they could move in. If not, they would build. There are more than enough vacant places to live, but the police keep people from living there.

ALL VEHICLES MADE IN 2027 WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A KILL SWITCH All vehicles manufactured in 2027 will officially be required to come equipped with advanced impaired driving prevention technology. Under this new law, automakers must install systems that use cameras and AI to monitor driver behavior, tracking things like eye movement and attention levels. If impairment is detected, the system will activate a kill switch and prevent the vehicle from operating. A kill switch in your car, controlled by AI and cameras watching your every move. When was that ever a good idea? And no, it definitely will not be used for anything else. They would never remotely disable your car for any other reason. Not during a protest. Not during a lockdown. Not ever. Absolutely nothing can go wrong.

Who would buy this anyway? Is anyone seriously going into debt to borrow a police station that rolls?
Jessica Rojas 🇺🇸💪@VoicesUnheard

DYSTOPIAN doesn't even begin to cover it. You'll want to sit down for this one.. hopefully it's not in your new black mirror vehicle. 👇 In new patents filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office (Serial No. 20250104469), Ford is envisioning a future where your pickup turns into a rolling police station. And we don’t mean just a bunch of new safety features; the new patents envision your truck as a 24/7 surveillance outpost. 👁️ Biometric Checks: From the comfort of your own driveway, your eyes will be scanned, and that iris and fingerprint checked against a database of criminals - real-time results received within seconds. 🧠 Did you know? Your car can put you in an Emotional Lockout! If your vehicle senses that you are in a “panic” driving state or have the “big eyes” (unintentionally locking onto an object for too long), the vehicle will determine that you are not fit to drive. The vehicle will remain in a Park state and will not allow the shifter to transition into the Drive state. 👂 Ad Spying – using acoustic waves to read your lips and display monitored conversations to you in order to serve you targeted ads for maximum monetization. 🚔 Law Enforcement: The live feeds in the footages "by Ford" are not encrypted and thus can be used for Law Enforcement Integration. Ford's own patent language for this feature describes the live feeds as "potentially useful for police". This isn't "coming soon" - it's already here. • Smart Eye monitoring software is already in use in over 4 million vehicles worldwide. • To comply with EU regulations such as the Future Truck 2025 concept, GSR, drowsiness system will be a mandatory feature on board. • Ford currently offers live in-cabin Ford Pro Telematics feeds to its fleet manager customers. The future is looking more like a world where you pay for your name and reputation , but everyone else profits off of your private information and influence. Surveillance society: It’s not just the new spying tech that’s the problem - it’s that all older vehicles are being gradually driven off the road and taken out of commission through legislation and a parts shortage, leaving drivers with a hollow choice. All is not lost. But we’re not just losing privacy. We’re losing the concept of an exit ramp. How long do you plan to keep your "analog" car on the road?

@iky_fwjett I agree about making kids do chores, but in fairness, I have never loaded a dishwasher before and I'm in my 30s. I just never had one. Probably would assume I had to do them by hand bc everyone i know who had one, it didn't work and was a place to store snacks😂

Make your children do household chores they’re failing at being adults We just had a friend of ours house sit and watch our pets. He’s a very nice guy but his parents have done a disservice to him by doing everything for him and financially supporting him. We came home and one of our pets had an accident on a blanket. Rather than putting in the washer, he left it wet with pee on the wood floor. First off, wet things on the floor warps the wood. Second, he couldn’t figure out the washer. There are SO many videos online that one video would show him how. Third, he ran the dishwasher but haphazardly put the dishes in and the washer couldn’t fully function with the jets. Dishes filled with water and a plastic top was partially melted on the bottom rack. For the sake of your children, make them do chores. It’s valuable life skills that they need and it’s your job to teach them.

@middle_class_us We have to do life differently. Instead of going through official channels for everything from education to arena concerts, we must support those outside of the police surveillance state that can provide value to our lives. And spend more time in protest of this system.

People aren’t cutting luxuries anymore. They’re cutting life. No concerts. No trips. No eating out. No small joys. Everything is just too expensive. And sure, you can tell me places are packed. But I see more and more people going into debt for experiences that used to be affordable. This shouldn't happen.

@MarthaAhumuza Of course it is good to live with intention, but the question you are posing is too negative for a complete unknown. Of course a child is a lot of responsibility, but most parents change to accommodate. It's simply impossible to weigh the joys or sorrows of future life paths

whether you want a responsibility that doesn’t come with an exit. Not just on the good days but in its full, lifelong reality. Having children should be a deeply intentional choice and not something you fall into because it’s expected.

Not having children changes very little about your life. Having children on the other hand changes everything about it. Out of all the major decisions you can make, this is the one you cannot undo. You can leave a marriage, quit a job, move countries and always start over but

My girls were thrilled to find a small garter snake in our yard today. They thought it was cute. I explained that garter snakes are harmless, and that they help keep bugs and rodents under control. For a few minutes, this tiny creature turned into a little moment of wonder for them. A couple hours later, a golf cart full of young men drove past our yard on the course we live on. One of them yelled, “Look, a snake!” The driver shouted, “I’ll get it!” and swerved the cart to run it over. Then he backed up and ran it over again. And again. His friends laughed. It all happened too fast for me to stop it. After they drove away, I went over, gathered the broken body of the little snake, and hid it in the rough so my daughters wouldn’t see it. I know it was “just a snake.” But I felt sick. Something that had filled my girls with curiosity and wonder was killed for a moment of amusement. And I can’t stop thinking about how much better the world would be if more people learned to protect small, harmless things instead of finding joy in destroying them.

I got a wheelbarrow full of free, excellent soil today. I put garbage in a circle of fence for like 6 months, and after like 45 minutes of screening for unfinished junk, I have all of this for my garden beds.

“Cows have a digestion system that emits methane. We need to change cows and work towards artificial meat.” ~ Bill Gates He doesn’t mention that methane from cows breaks down into CO2 & water after 10 years. Grass absorbs the CO2 by photosynthesis & the cycle repeats itself.
