This is a ploy to favour some big MNC !
CCTV cameras project in Delhi was executed by Central govt navratna PSU - BEL, since it was the lowest bidder and had beaten L&T in the bidding process.
From where BEL sourced its CCTVs was its responsibility !
Is the BJP's Delhi PWD minister now trying to say that a central govt PSU did not know that Hikvision CCTV cameras could not have been installed ?
If so, then will this company's cameras be removed from Delhi Metro and other central govt organisations & offices also ?

Delhi is set to remove 1.4 lakh CCTV cameras (almost all sourced from Hikvision) and replace them across the capital without disrupting live surveillance. This is significant first move, but Hikvision systems are embedded across metros, central government projects, and critical infrastructure nationwide. The Union government’s move to restrict STQC certification for Chinese-made or Chinese-chipset cameras effectively sidelines players like Hikvision and Dahua. However, the deeper challenge lies in the supply chain. Most “Indian” CCTV brands still rely on Chinese components, whether image sensors or core chipsets. A fully indigenous, end-to-end camera hardware stack (sensor to firmware) does not yet exist at scale. Domestic players such as Prama India and CP Plus offer credible alternatives, but their upstream dependencies remain largely external. STQC is a necessary step for security and standardisation. But in the near term, India risks replacing a Chinese brand with an Indian-labelled system built on a largely Chinese supply chain. Or embrace other foreign alternatives like Axis, Bosch or Sony. Still a welcome move. Every rip-and-replace cycle builds considerable procurement muscle, creates guaranteed demand that didn't exist before, and forces Indian integrators to invest in localisation to win contracts. STQC certification, however imperfect today, is a forcing function. It sets a bar that domestic industry will eventually have to meet or lose to trusted foreign alternatives. via @IndianExpress

Prime Minister Modi should answer in Parliament why his own government-run PSU is purchasing Chinese CCTVs.

Why complain about @hsphoolka's joining BJP? Where else could he have gone? SAD was out because, for people of stature, joining dynastic politics is end of their personal aspiration. The other Akali Dal is yet to fructify. Congress was out of the question given his work. AAP he had experienced and left. Your thoughts !

AAP took a clear and strong decision.
When Arvind Kejriwal was in trouble, everyone in the party should have stood together. But Raghav Chadha stayed silent.
Politics should be about people’s real problems like inflation, jobs, and daily expenses—not personal image.
By removing him from the post and giving responsibility to Ashok Mittal, the party has shown that discipline and unity matter.
Good and needed decision.

While Aam Aadmi Party workers continuously spoke and wrote about Arvind Kejriwal's incarceration, Raghav Chadha was busy enjoying in London.
For his own personal PR, Raghav Chadha repeatedly raised the issue of mobile recharge packs in the House, rather than addressing critical issues such as inflation, unemployment, or LPG gas prices.
Now, making an official announcement, aam admi party has informed the Rajya Sabha Secretariat that Raghav Chadha should not be allocated any time from the Aam Aadmi Party's quota to speak in Parliament.
Party (AAP) has removed Raghav Chadha as the party's deputy leader in Rajya Sabha and appointed its Punjab MP Ashok Mittal as the replacement

Breaking News : Aam Aadmi Party has officially informed Rajya Sabha secretariat that MP Raghav Chaddha should not be allotted time to speak. AAP will also he replacing him with Ashok Mittal as the party’s Deputy leader in Rajya Sabha. As per sources, he refused to speak on issues like LPG crisis, Garbage, Poor foreign policy and took issues for his personal PR. Good job by AAP, He can now join BJP and directly ask Ashwini Vaishnav to reduce minimum recharge pack instead of wasting parliament’s time for the same.

गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेंद्र पटेल जी को मैंने पत्र लिखकर मिलने का समय मांगा है। गुजरात में पंचायत और नगर पालिका चुनावों के पहले अवैध रूप से बहुत बड़े स्तर पर हमारे कार्यकर्ताओं को गिरफ्तार किया जा रहा है। 160 से अधिक कार्यकर्ताओं को गिरफ्तार किया जा चुका है और अभी दस हज़ार से ज़्यादा को गिरफ़्तार करने की इनकी योजना है। “आप” की बढ़ती लोकप्रियता से बीजेपी बुरी तरह से बौखलाई हुई है। पर इस तरह की गिरफ़्तारियों और गुंडागर्दी को गुजरात के लोग पसंद नहीं करते। वे इसका जवाब ज़रूर देंगे।
