@passing_wisp i dont think scaling and winning lanes/early are mutually exclusive but yes

im starting to think that playing exclusively for scaling is a higher variance strategy than not does this make sense

@RohanGod_ fwiw I don’t think league is as hard as people make it out to be (though I think it’s harder than most modern competitive titles). broodwar is so much harder than league though I have infinite respect for the greats

League of Legends is the hardest game I’ve ever played. Marvel Rivals is the easiest. Also the least fun. Deadlock is the first game I’ve played with the potential to dethrone League.

@ilovshadowheart @Mast3rofFlavor1 melee is incredibly hard and has a massive ceiling but as a melee player I can guarantee it’s not the hardest esport. I do think broodwar is harder; not just the field of competition but just the game itself. can’t speak on cs but lol is really not as hard as people make it out.

@Mast3rofFlavor1 Melee is the hardest esport though as someone who has barely any stake in this stuff, even basic movement takes like 9 inputs in a second and there’s infinity gameplay concepts you need to grasp to even be good at ranked netplay

there’s a problem when the majority of esports fans I see online care more about superfluous factors such as needing an international match up at a tournament in order to enjoy it rather than the quality if the gameplay itself. do we watch for the game or are we new-age tourists

I wouldn’t personally say it changed my perspective as much as it reaffirmed my own beliefs and gave me confidence in myself. Man vs. Machine though… greatest video on YouTube by far.

I still remember in early Valorant where the narrative was that Korea was never really an FPS nation and for them to compete at the top would be incredibly difficult. 5 years later and some of our best and most exciting teams come for Korea and it only seems to be growing!
