Interesting to see Match of the day last night got lots more viewers than the week before. Maybe more people want a shorter football filled programme with less chat.

Great BBC Match of the day. All action. Good replays so you could see what happened and understand penalty calls. Pity they did not show more of the football and run each match a bit longer. Too much chat in the previous programmes.

Why is Mr Lineker paid so much more than other BBC presenters?

This is not going well for the BBC

The @BBC are cowards. They’re letting down fans, losing a top presenter in @GaryLineker. Brings insight/authority to their coverage in an era when the meek national broadcaster let licence-payers down with live rights. I don’t agree with all GL politics but I respect his values.

Gary Lineker has brought more pride and joy to this country than most politicians and the BBC hierarchy, if not all. He has a conscience and a platform. He does not present a news programme on the BBC, is not a full-time employee, did not express his view on his BBC show… 1/2

My beloved husband Peter Fung passed away yesterday after living with cancer for a short time. A former GP and talented musician, he was kind, loving, creative and very funny. After 45 years of marriage this #ValentinesDay is a tough one. Photos of peaceful nature appreciated!
