I just got back from watching the new @AngelStudiosInc movie “Truth and Treason,” the story of one of my personal heroes Helmuth Huebener. It’s honest, inspiring, and devastating. An absolute must-see.

@CwicShow I know you do. Like virtually all our institutions that have failed to live up to their best ideals, academia is certainly worthy of our critiques precisely because of its potential (and ongoing reality) of great good.

@patrickqmason I think it’s true. And I don’t paint all academics with a single broad stroke. I love academia as well as criticize it.. I bring academics on the show all the time.

I would love it if we taught the rising generation about the actual observed effects we have seen from every society that has ever tried to implement Marxism. Namely, the horrific poverty, death, oppression, and violation of human rights. Right now, our universities are only teaching a distorted version of these theories, romanticizing them as the only true antidote to the world's problems and propping them up on a moral pedestal (this is likely a primary reason why 50% of Gen Z supports socialism).

This morning, I described how blessed it is to be a peacemaker and how peacemaking begins in the most basic place: in our hearts, then in homes and families. As we practice there, peacemaking will spread into our neighborhoods and communities. Peacemakers are sometimes labeled naive or weak from all sides. Yet, to be a peacemaker is not to be weak, but to be strong in a way the world may not understand.
