I say this in my upcoming bit on The Guardian but this is really not the way for Starmer to respond to pro-Gaza hecklers. Tens of thousands of people have died. Children are being blown up. A dismissive little laugh comes across at best, smug and at worst, cruelly indifferent.

For Rishi Sunak there is a drop of around 13 points but for Labour it is much more significant. Keir Starmer suffers a huge fall of 29 points among ethnic minorities since the 7th Oct attacks. According to these figures, Labour are at risk of losing a wide range of voters over Gaza, not just from the Muslim community. 5/6

A senior Israeli Govt Minister is being explicit. They want to occupy Gaza and expel people from their homes. There is nothing "voluntary" about turning people's homes to rubble and making their land uninhabitable, thereby forcing them to leave. It is called ethnic cleansing.
