Hi everyone 👋 I’ll post this information to get some awareness to the Supercharger situation here in Portugal 🇵🇹 Tesla entered with Superchargers in our country since 2017, they were granted a permit to deploy them as an innovative project that would (and indeed did) boost the electric mobility in Portugal. But in 2019 legislation changed and with the pressure from other companies they lobbied against Tesla, forcing it to comply with tough rules (eg. Tesla SuC must send all data to the charging network administration organism, they should provide that all the SuC should be able to grand access to all energy providers, etc etc. Since that Tesla no longer could deploy more SuC or open SuC already built and ready to operate, also, they weren’t able to expand some sites to ensure more chargers in critical/main highways. The previous government wasn’t flexible to negotiate even a midpoint agreement. With the new government and the new legislation from EU AFIR we hoped to get the changes we need but still we don’t have positive signs as there is no palpable changes in Portuguese network. This is very dramatic because we buy and import a lot of Teslas, and as consequence the SuC is very stressed with constant cues and with no reliable options outside SuC network. Please consider this as a top priority for Europe not only for us (locals) but also for a lot of turists that visit us. Happy to help you Cheers guys
