@peduarte second one - better apps for xyz that feel as smooth & focused as raycast

I've been on Raycast every single day for the last year. It quietly replaced Spotlight, my clipboard manager, and half my menu bar. But I have a nagging feeling I'm missing something better. What's the one app you open every day that you'd fight to keep? Mac, iPhone, dev tools - throw them at me.

@peduarte Raycast spoiled me. one app, zero friction, does the work of three. now every other tool feels heavier than it should. so I keep wondering - what else is out there that's quietly this good and I just don't know about it?)

@marckohlbrugge @thomaspaulmann @raycast if you hit ⇧ ⌘ C there's an option to copy it was plain text there we could consider making it an option to set it as default, i guess? not sure!

@thomaspaulmann @raycast I don’t know any other app that defaults to copying as markdown I think either a mode toggle (plaintext vs markdown) or a “copy as plain-text” contextual menu option would solve it for me

@raycast is it possible to disable markdown in Notes? It's really annoying that whenever I copy a URL from a note it copies it as a markdown link rather than just the URL

@me_jd_solanki @raycast yeah if you want the new raycast is a different download so it'll run alongside the current one there is a migration assistant which will transfer everything over keep in mind cloud sync is still WIP so if you heavily rely on that it's better to wait a bit

@raycast whats wrong with this ordering...? even though Stremio starts with "Stre" and Counter-Strike 2 doesn't even have "Stre" in it, it puts Stremio behind it.. why? Also capital S makes Stremio comes up first

so the answer is 3 😤😤😤 but it really should be 2!!! - the gray background implies the first item is already in focus - so hitting ↓↓ should highlight #⁠team-hype, right??? - nope - pressing ↓ actually focused the first item - so then you need to press it two more times to actually to the right item there are a few more issues with this, like - there are 2 different "selected" states - the gray one, and the blue one - the gray one basically means that if you press ⏎ that item will be selected (they even had to add an indicator lol) - the blue one is when the actual list item is focused, so from them on you can start using your arrow keys to navigate it's so confusing, and to be honest, there is no need why it should work like this trust me, our whole product is basically built on top of proper list navigation

raycast search is so good that it'll expose your project code name
