@KobraSportsMed Agreed, if you’re going to take a vitamin regularly get a prescription for what you need

Just saw TSLA stock. What a joke. Still not understanding how a 35-40,000 dollar car that drives itself without a human in the control loop could be a valuable technology. Makes zero sense to me.

I’ll be honest once you start taking care of your body and mind in the gym, it becomes hard to connect with people who don’t value their health at all.

I hate when you're 45 minutes into your run and it's only been 7 minutes.

Some runners don’t want the marathon. They want the identity that comes with saying they ran one.

@phil948 @benljohnson1996 That’s crazy. I benched over 300 in high school, at a body weight of 165. Even with subpar genetics a full grown man should easily be able to be 315 with a few years of intelligent training.

If you’ve been lifting for 5+ years and still can't bench anywhere near 3 plates (and want to) At some point you need to stop blaming genetics.

Gym workout splits are very important as they decide how much rest each muscle gets for proper recovery after every session, a lot of gym people still struggle to find the right split. you might be helping someone drop the workout splits that has been working for you 👇

@brettboettcher1 People confuse “using protein” with “muscle protein synthesis” There’s a max amount of protein you can have in one sitting to maximally stimulate your muscles to grow. We thought that number was around 30, but that looks like more of an average now, with a lot of variation

"Your body can only use 30 grams of protein" Wrong. There is no upper limit to protein utilization. If you ate 100 grams of protein for breakfast it just takes you a few more hours to use it. Keeping you full, your metabolism firing and your body recovering optimally.

As a strength coach sometimes you have clients that will insist on doing dumb shit like trying to run The Texas Method while prepping for a marathon It's very important that you tell that client "no"

I didn't realize drinking one cup of milk every 30 minutes in the morning would do what it does. No appetite in the morning? Don't force a meal. Just drink milk. > Keeps blood sugar stable without overwhelming digestion > Hydrates you simultaneously > Delivers consistent protein, fat, and carbohydrate in small easy-to-process amounts > Puts you in a hyper-anabolic regenerative state > Makes you warmer, not colder When you naturally start craving something salty, that's your signal your body is ready for solid food. That's not a supplement protocol. That's a cup of milk every half hour. So far the simplest morning hack I've found.

Tonight is the most important sleep of the week. Sunday night sleep directly determines your cortisol curve, cognitive performance, immune function, and metabolic state for Monday and Tuesday. Here is exactly what to do in the next 30 minutes: - Stop looking at screens. Dim every light in your home. - Take 300 to 400mg of magnesium glycinate right now. - Set your thermostat to 65 degrees. - Write down anything on your mind so your brain can let it go. - Set your alarm for the same time you will wake every day this week. The week starts tonight. Not tomorrow morning.
