@TalkBirdie_ToMe @nickohern @MarkAllenGolf Hi - you have mentioned on a few pods a power board that shuts off after 8 hours so you don't burn down your house when charging your electric buggy battery - I cant find the brand name in your transcripts. What's it called and where can you get it? Thanks!

Recently on Talk Birdie To Me, @nickohern and @MarkAllenGolf discussed their biggest farces in golf history. One viewer, Sam, wrote in saying it was a 'joke' that they left out Tiger Woods playing on the weekend at the 2013 US Masters. Watch here: youtu.be/6PXSBnSZf7Y

@Top100Rick @doug4au The other issue is around crowds - restricted viewing and access around the fairways and how difficult it is to get them in and out of the course.

New South Wales Golf Club Alister MacKenzie - 1928 #46/World Top 100 Private Just WOW. What a golf course. Truly one of the world’s great walks, NSW sits just 25 minutes from downtown Sydney and presents a links golf experience that is unlike any other. The routing is one of the true greats. It moves to and from the ocean wonderfully, moving in all directions. The par 3’s and 5’s all move in different directions, the player will get to experience the wind in all its glory. The greens are big and have lots of movement. You have to be careful around the green complexes, it’s easy for a slight mistake to cause a ball to roll back to your feet or sometimes past. The par 4’s are varied and incredible. They are long and dogleg in both directions. You have to frequently make decisions about how much to bite off from the tee. The course is both wide and strategic and also penal. Generally you have plenty of room, but when you miss the fairway you have to worry about the scrub and you are not recovering when you hit into it. Mackenzie & Ebert finished a big restoration and the job they did is amazing. The members are ecstatic. The pot bunkering fits the course well and is tough but not unfair. The new sandy waste areas fit perfectly. The club is also fantastic. It’s really about the golf here, the members are very welcoming of fellow golf appreciators. Can’t say enough about New South Wales. Amazing.

Very cool story developing right now on the @PGAofAustralia at the WAPGA. Jeffrey Guan, in just his 2nd event in 12 months after losing his vision in one eye, is inside the Top 10 during Rd 2 at -4. 👏👏👏

@MarkAllenGolf Done. Easy to set up and use... Only "issue" is the ads they have sold to run above the bottom menu. I thought we paid for the GA handicap service? Fat thumbs mean ads gets clicked in error and takes you off the page.

@NoLayingUp @highnoonsunsips Hey guys - the course announced for LIV Adelaide exists. North Adelaide is a public golf course on the edge of the inner city and is 36 holes and also has 9 hole par 3. It’s well overdue a refresh. Will be a win for public golfers for the other 50 weeks of the year.

LIV Adelaide falls flat in making any real change in the Australian golf landscape, why can't we find a better way to get the PIF involved? We're on to the back nine of the @highnoonsunsips live show!

@MarkAllenGolf @AFL @3AW693 Maybe just let the clock run when the ball goes out of bounds given there is the deliberate rule and avoid so many time on / time off situations....

@MarkAllenGolf This might be contentious to the purists…. what about the use of range finders to help calculate distance to the flag. Keep the yardage book for the green and surrounds. Surely that would quicken things up a little.

Very good point - but 3 hours for 9 holes… that’s not on. I’d like to think - even on that length course - pros in 3’s should never go over 4hours 45mins. - Get rid of the line on the ball. - No more Aim Point - 50secs 1st player, then 30/30 - Penalties in shots, not $$ - Back to 2somes on the weekend too (under 4 hours easy) 🏌🏼‍♂️
Brad Owen@ocat1979

@MarkAllenGolf @dottie_pepper @PGATOUR It’s easy to blame to players for slow play but what does the tour expect when you have a 7800 yard course, playing in 3’s with a two tee start? Almost impossible to get around in under 5 hours on a good day.

@TalkBirdie_ToMe @nickohern @MarkAllenGolf Love the Masterclasses. How about one on the 3-6 foot left to right putts (for right hander) that ALWAYS seem to break just below the hole and run 3 feet past. Even pro’s seem to suffer with this!

@acaseofthegolf1 @PGAofAustralia Quayle just completed his 4th round and has finished 3rd at -12. The winner finished at -14. What a great comeback from that first round. McCumber was second at -13

Absolutely Wild Story from @PGAofAustralia Don't have time to write a story on the website, so stick with me on a long one. Anthony Quayle, a pro who plays Japan Tour and has a T15 in the Open Championship has a chance to win today, despite a SEVEN stroke penalty in the first round. Quayle came back from Japan to play four Aussie events, this week being the fourth. In the previous three they have played preferred lies. Quayle told me they give players a odd shaped piece of paper that states preferred lies, and in the first round he got one of sheets on the first tee. He didn't read it (he took full responsibility for not reading) and in the first fairway asked American Tyler McCumber (great to see him playing again) if there were preferred lies. McCumber said yes. On 15 Quayle reads the paper after McCumber asked him to confirm there were preferred lies. To his shock the paper says there are preferred lies....but only on hole three. "I was really just in shock, I didn't know what to do" Quayle immediately calls a rules officials and they go over how many times he picked up the ball. They determine it was four times. However once was on fringe and he replaced the ball in the same spot. So for three times he picked up the ball and moved it from its original spot, its two strokes and one time its just one stroke. SEVEN total. Quayle was six-under at the time. Which would have had him tied for second. But he signs for a one over 73. He told me he was just really shook. In the morning he did his best to refocus. "I thought if I could make the cut that would be an accomplishment". He 67 and makes the cut easily. Yesterday he starts off 5-under thru seven and ends up with a 66. Tied for the best score of the day. In a few hours Anthony Quayle will tee off in the final round just three shots back despite a seven shot penalty. Absolutely bananas. If he wins it will be one of the wilder stories this year. McCumber was accessed a two-stroke penalty and will tee off the final round just one back.
