A friend of me who is studying math said: "It's like creating a magic system in a fantasy world. Only there is no story and no characters and no world, just the magic-system."

In my search for happiness independent of conditions, with many false positives along the way, I eventually found nothing independent of conditions. One can be blind and ignorant to the supporting conditions which make something, which is all too easy when in a place of abundance and far removed from the underlying structural supports, but that doesn't mean they're not there and needed. Or you can get real with what you value, become clearer on their necessary conditions and make sure to create, protect and nurture those conditions. Yes, all your love, your happiness, your peace, consciousness or whatever you're naming 'the unconditioned', it is seen that way because it hasn't yet been integrated. It's perceived as something somehow outside, beyond, or fundamental because you haven't yet found a way to fit it into everything else, to find its place and its limits. But as it turns out some of the essential features of wellbeing may be incredibly simple to access and possible to facilitate to a huge degree within in a human in quite an antifragile way, despite many, many other conditions changing.

@pi0us0 Yeah that feeling makes sense. I usually try saying "i" instead of "the part/ my body/ .." and feel how i am that part/ experience. How is that?

@Mareikehere Yea, I'm wondering what owning parts means. It feels right though, I feel more substantial and more like a full being.

@pi0us0 Right yeah most of us probably do this a bit. How is it to intentionally start owning your parts more? Like feeling how that is actually you. Some parts are often more confronting to own.

@Mareikehere I feel like I can feel a way of what it'd look like o not do that but it's vague.

@pi0us0 part of me doesn't want to (thank god I don't have to own the fact that *I* don't want to, phew)

IFS is really great for getting acquainted with basic emotional terrain, but if you don't outgrow it pretty quickly the failure modes stack up

@relic_radiation I'm sort of curious if You feel like your patients after a good massage experience much of the time. Like can you reliably induce such experiences without being in this yourself? Probably not right?

while meditation is Not Really My Thing, it’s becoming increasingly clear to me that whatever meditators are clearing out of their bodies is the same as what I’m clearing out of client’s bodies which reassures me bc they also talk about there being unexpectedly a lot of it

@RogerThisdell Specifically the red book. I feel like there you get a sense of his earnestness. But I haven't read all that much. A little bit of man and his symbols and a little of the red book. The red book is intense!

Awakening is like heliotropism. Sentient beings turn toward bodhi as plants reach for the Sun. When you feel this pull, it doesn't matter what you think or which tradition you favor; you're on the path and you know it. Adult humans are not mature organisms, we're buddha larvae.

I think i invented the best personality test. Hear me out: 1. Take the word "gargoyle". If you HAD to class them, would gargoyles be more kinky or vanilla? What about more chad or frumpy? Are they more chiller or builder? I had people vote a series of 6 binary questions for every word I could think of, and then ended up with a huge pile of correlated words. Like: If you look at the KINKY, CHAD, CHILL category, you get a bunch of the words that got voted into that same concept. So - what about *you*? Vote *yourself* through the gates, and you'll find yourself landed in a pile of all the other words that got voted the same as you! That's how I got 'the operator'.

I'm kind of falling in love with the imaginal. I'm reading "the language of emotions" and I've started fantasizing a little bit from time to time and I'm looking into IFS and Ideal parent figure protocol and the like. Very cool.
