Codex is honestly very good. Their biggest gap right now is the frontend polish and a stronger marketing imo Everything else feels top tier: -reasoning is sharp with the new gpt 5.5 -responses are fast -limits don’t get hit too early -overall experience feels smooth -browser preview dashboard -debugging is fast and accurate too -multiple plug ins I’ve been using the app free plan since yesterday and still haven’t hit limits. They also offer a 258k context window per chat, which is quite nice for a free plan You can also split workflows across multiple chats and build faster. What I do is simple , I use my skills file to ensure that whatever input I send , the output must be effective I just feel they need more marketing
