Imagine being so bad at PR, that you almost manage to make Skip Bayless look reasonable. This was a layup. All you had to do was post something about how you don't mean any disrespect to a legend, and how you want to work with Gervin on this in a cooperative manner. I suggest you either fire the PR people you have now, or hire some asap, because this was so easy to defuse.
