Why is the #WritingCommunity not active here anymore? Just about a year ago, my feed was flooded with writing-related posts and my own tweets got a lot of traction within the community. Now I see nothing of it. Have they all gone silent or migrated elsewhere?

@MeghnaPant Really I didn’t know it was still a thing ! When my dad was once repeatedly asked, you just have two daughters and no sons , I love the way he said in his broken Hindi , yehi mere beta hai aur beti bhi . Can never forget those empowering words.

As the proud mother of two girls, I find it terribly ironic when the same people who worship my daughters during Kanya Puja ask me when I’m planning to have a son so I can 'complete' my family. This binary perception of girls as either devis or dayans is deeply infuriating. Remember, girl families ARE complete families. And girls deserve to be celebrated in real life as they are in rituals. #GenderEquality #CelebrateGirlsInRealLife #GirlFamiliesAreCompleteFamilies
