🎉📚DRUMROLLS PLEASE 🔖🎊 I am delighted to begin this new year with some epic news! My magnum opus—ten years in the making—THE MAN WHO LOST INDIA is now out on pre-order—amzn.eu/d/dUrJlih Please do show the novel some love by ordering the book, sharing the news on social media, and Chinese whispering it to your friends!
Simon & Schuster India ✨@SimonSchusterIN

Pre-order @MeghnaPant's 'The Man Who Lost India' now! The year is 2032. China declares war on India. Pillage and plunder ensues. The war comes to an abrupt halt when a supernatural event saves the obscure town of Lalbag from annihilation. Even as China renews its efforts to invade Lalbag, a greater calamity awaits this sleepy town. A Chinese cop stumbles upon a dangerous secret that threatens to end the town’s immunity. A fierce and forbidden love between a servant and his mistress destroys two families. Meanwhile, the town’s richest man becomes afflicted with a terrible disease, the town beauty goes mad when her love betrays, and a psychic turns water into blood, sending the town and its people deeper into tragedy. A dystopian never-been-done-before tale set in – and between – China and India, The Man Who Lost India is a powerful portrayal of love, strife and family in the wake of the 21st century’s biggest war. Incantatory and atmospheric, this is Meghna Pant’s most ambitious novel yet, full of beauty, bloodshed and undeniable feminist power. #TigervsDragon #TheManWhoLostIndia #WaroftheCentury #MeghnaPant #preorder #preordernow @GulPanag

Silence is my first love. Music, my quiet accomplice. In this beautiful piece by Homegrown, I’m reminded that we don’t just write stories. We hear them first. Like a raga that lingers before it reveals itself. As we all chase the same thing: rhythm, memory, emotion, that invisible thread turns words into something luminous. Pune, Maharashtra: Political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla says, "Why are you surprised? Pakistan’s former ambassador to India, Abdul Basit, has said that Pakistan would target India with nuclear weapons. This is the same kind of statement that the current government in Pakistan has been making consistently over the past few months..."

Today India has woken up to the #GautamSinghaniaEffect - a man who betrays his own father, wife and children, will leave his friends for dead. Circumstances change but never a person's character. Choose who you trust wisely.

@MeghnaPant A little different from your current query but there's an ngo called Adarsh Foundation who are helping mothers feed their kids in Kurla, Mumbai, kids who were dying of lack of food, in MUMBAI, in the current times. Can share details if you wish.

@MeghnaPant This was in David Sassoon btw getting to which is literally a journey for anyone who can't afford a sobo house. The OG tweet was real - libraries need to be everywhere and inclusive.

Hot take: the cafe vs library debate isn’t about space, it’s about optics. Mumbai, for example, has beautiful, quiet libraries like Town Hall, JN Petit, David Sasoon. But they’re not considered “cool.” But even a cafe with third-rate coffee is. Writing needs silence. Cafes offer visibility. So let’s be honest - are we writing, or performing the idea of writing?
Ayushi Mona Singh@TheMonaFactor

Half of the crowd we see in cafes is because we don't have investment or maintenance of public library infrastructure in India.

@MeghnaPant Both Petit and David Sassoon are quaint anachronisms - no wifi, no charging pts, wooden chairs, no coffee, books are not regularly updated. Need upgrades to be competiitve.

@MeghnaPant Only in privileged areas and for privileged members. Libraries should be central and easily accessible membership - not a bureaucratic process with long-term commitment.

Awareness: I'm going to hit men with a hard truth that they all need to hear..Pedophilia is way more common than you want to believe. Ask any woman how old she was the first time she was sexualized.

@ManasTrisha If your argument needs “bimbo” and all caps to survive, it’s already dead. And since you’re screaming “READ” maybe start with the Joseph Shine v. Union of India judgment before embarrassing yourself further.

@MeghnaPant The argument wasn't about what's legal and illegal bimbo, it's about you complaining about how people perceive. COMPREHEND Also, adultery can be used to file divorce against husband but not vice-versa. READ
