“You’re going to pay me 48 million dollars to leave? When do you want me to leave and which door do you want me to walk out of?” SID to administration “Can I add a 35 thousand a year employee to assist with our work?” Administration “We just can’t afford that”

@cjeasonmichigan It’s just exhausting. Its usually fans of a team who are looking for an excuse why they lost or media folk not smart enough to actually analyze the game

Perfect example of asinine thought If officials make calls, "they're making it all about themselves" If officials don't make calls, they're not doing their jobs It's why complaints about officiating in any sport aren't worth 1/10000 of the time we give them
Trey Wallace@TreyWallace

Two physical teams, and the officials have decided to make it about themselves through ten minutes in Chicago. 12 total foul calls. Welcome to the show, Tennessee and Michigan

Dad Lesson If you're going to constantly whine, moan and complain about the March Madness Schedule or anything else related to the tournament, offer a solution to what is a perceived (most often not real) issue.

@Hirsch_Tweets My time I switched them (with the reps permission) was the losing team was ready and waiting in the media room for 10 minutes. It wasn’t protocol but it worked Based on my experience (at the small college level) I think the losers want to get it over it. D1 might be different

@pressboxdad That is procedure for regional final because of the net cutting. But TV doesn’t keep them very long. Most of the time, losers needs the extra time. We flipped it once with NCAA permission for the then-vice president visiting winning locker room. Loser presser went very badly.

@Hirsch_Tweets Sure. But since the winning team already has TV requirements after the game you can let the losing team go first within 15 minutes. It would probably save the media some time as well.

@pressboxdad If you think about timing, if they waited 30 minutes, they weren’t that far off schedule. 5 min CBS, 10 min cool off starts, 10-15 with Duke on podium.

March Madness X is pretty much summed up into two things 1. Complaining about the schedule which has basically been the same for three decades. It hasn't been a problem forever, but random x account needs to complain because they want to go to bed 2. Whining about officiating

Due respect to coach Gaitley, Arizona State and Virginia played at that site before 707 fans two nights before. Neutral sites provide no atmosphere. I believe this is true for many NCAA Men’s Tournament games as well

“I think the women’s game has grown enough that we can start to pursue [neutral sites].” - Stephanie Gaitley Coach speaks on the opportunity to continue growing the game of women’s basketball. #uKNIGHTED | #GirlsWithSwords | @GreaterWay2Bank

@Hirsch_Tweets Like most people on x they complain but offer no solution. If people raise concerns and explain how things can better, I’ll listen. If they just gripe, it’s usually a personal issue

Phil has been in a Super Bowl locker room. I’ve been part of NCAA sites in Philly, Raleigh, Greensboro and Charlotte along with a few on-campus venues. Also been part of conf. tournaments in ACC, America East, CAA & SoCon. Still want to measure resumes? Nah, he blocked me.
