My post for the Sierra Club on Point Molate. Richmond is rich in transit - BART, Amtrak, bus corridors, & ferry. It needs housing served by these modes, not a new suburb on shoreline parkland. @WhollyH2o @ptmolate @eastshorepark

@Waves_SF @deciblast In addition, the "70%" includes every single patch of "open space" including small lawn patches between homes and along sidewalks. It's what developers do...make it sound public orientated when the result is actually quite different. Not public or open or nature minded

The US SW enters the hottest/driest month (June) under widespread exceptional drought. Worst conditions on record for the CO River & Rio Grande. The rest of the West, clear over to MI is also unusually dry. Whereas eastern drought can disappear fast, not so in the semi-arid West.
