Really thought THE SECRET AGENT was going to win an #Oscar tonight. Disappointed, but it’s still a masterpiece. I hope Kleber Mendonça Filho gets to make whatever movie he wants next. I feel for the Brazilian fans who must be so disappointed, but this movie won’t be forgotten 🇧🇷

If I was a studio exec and saw that Sam Raimi's latest only had a 1% drop, I would automatically green light whatever Sam Raimi produced or directed projects I have on my slate (ESPECIALLY the one I wrote at Universal).

Sam Raimi was literally the man who made me pick up a camera and try to make movies*. He’s been a hero since I was 14. So for him to say this blows me away. (*Shoutout to the September 1988 episode on Sam Raimi from Channel 4’s ‘Incredibly Strange Film Show’ (hosted by @wossy) which was the true light bulb moment. So inspiring.)

Eddington didn’t earn any #Oscar nominations today but I don’t think that came as a big surprise to many- at least not to me. Surprising or not, I still think this film deserved Oscar recognition & was one of the year’s best films. Not to mention Joaquin Phoenix is outstanding.
