The weakness you show now shall be the suffering your children face, be strong, be courageous, be merciless to those that wish to harm you.

“Oh so how many people do you think it’s ok to kill to save one airman?” Uh….all of them. Every living thing in your country is expendable if it means saving a single downed American. And that goes for every country in Earth.

The ONLY thing that matters in an extraction is the recovery and lack of any additional casualties.
GosforthGal@gosforthgal

@awstar11 Your rescue of your pilot is being foisted on us as if it was the greatest precision extraction in the world. It was not. A precision action does not entail incorrect/unusable equipment and does not entail leaving millions of dollars of other equipment behind.

I feel like it'd be fun to chase people through the forest while they're dressed like deer and hunt them for sport but not like murder or anything y’know? just bonding with your pals.

Our Japanese friends are starting to notice that in America we're fighting the same kind of communist protesters at the same time as they are. We're both in a war against leftists who're dehumanizing and willing to harm our children to advance their political views. The US and Japan bonding over destroying communism is one of the most beautiful things I've seen on X in a long time. 🇺🇸🫶🇯🇵

The American military always took the lives of its servicemen seriously. In many stories from WW2, even after an American plane was shot down, the pilot ejected, and soon after, a rescue plane would land on the water to pick them up and take off, returning to the aircraft carrier, often to fly back out against the Japanese for another shot at bombing the battleship. The Japanese sailors were shocked at this audacious display, which showed that not only did the Americans have the depth in equipment, but also in personnel to be able to pull off these kinds of rescues in the middle of a massive naval battle. This scene ended up getting into the movie "Yamato" released in 2005, because the stories were so impactful to the Japanese military psyche, especially near the end of the war. This then became a meme video to emphasize the audacity of Americans. So yes. The American military treats our soldiers like they are priceless in battle, easily worth hundreds of millions.

Die Rettung eines abgeschossenen US-Piloten im Iran hat die USA etwa 300 Millionen $ an Ausrüstung gekostet. Beeindruckend und bewundernswert, was dem US-Militär das Leben seiner Soldaten wert ist.

As an American the single biggest thing that repulses me about Europeans is the fact that when you ask for relatively simple and easy things, they kick and scream at you like you are some sort of monster. The USA is done being used. Get in the game or sit on the sidelines.

@minawawawaw None of these(though I do hate the runny nose and sneezing), I like spring because it's the time of the year that going outside is most comfortable for me, it can be cold, but sunny, so if you are cold, just stand in the sun. It's also when things get the most colorful.

@Arrogance_0024 Wait, is the French ones again waving the white flag? All because "one" man that's fighting for YOUR country isn't worth a few planes? What a French thing to do. If you do not respect those that protect you, don't be surprised when you stop being protected.

The "leave no man behind" doctrine is actually a strategic weakness disguised as a virtue. Name one other military on earth that destroys 6 aircraft and fights a ground battle inside a sovereign nation to recover one pilot. You can't. Because no other military confuses tactical sentimentality with strategic logic. Soldiers serve the mission. The mission doesn't serve the soldier. The US has now established that Iran can shoot down an F-15, then watch America spend $300M and expose Delta Force trying to prove it didn't happen. That's not military doctrine. That's politics with weapons. A military that cannot accept the risk of loss cannot win wars. The US hasn't won one since 1945.

Lose all this to rescue 1 pilot and call it your greatest military success of all time.

I’m noticing a lot of foreigners who seem to not understand why we’d risk hundreds of lives, spend millions of dollars, and sacrifice several aircraft to rescue one guy. And the reason they don’t understand is also the reason people can’t be made American by a piece of paper.

@nikutaberuru Don't worry, most American movies are also extremely sloppy with their depictions, it's unfortunately a constant for anyone who isn't an avid gun owner.

This is the worst type of virtue signaling, this logic can literally be applied to anything. “Kids starving and here you are on twitter.” “You liked a movie? Well what about the homeless huh??” “You had fun playing a video game? Enjoy your privilege while a war is going on.” Genuinely convinced it HAS to be ragebait because I refuse to believe people actually think this way. 12k for some straight BS

America, please don’t listen to the new narrative that we wasted so much equipment to save one life. There’s a reason recruiting is through the roof. And it’s because we don’t leave your sons and daughters behind enemy lines because it’s financially convenient.
