In Jan. '20 I left my FB profile abandoned, deleted the app, stopped using FB for private purposes. And I'm happy ever since. Today I'm doing the same with Twitter. I don't see any value in supporting the businesses of despots. Thanks for everything. Take care, good souls.

@MattiHaapoja Please hang in there. Mastodon learns quickly I recommend Tusky as App. It's so important to stop supporting Musk and how he's ruined a one of the most important networks in the world within weeks.

Ich werde jetzt die Benachrichtigungen, die ich teilweise für Abos vergeben habe bei Twitter ausstellen. Falls ihr euch wundert (oder freut 😁), nichts mehr von mir zu lesen. Zum Januar 2020 habe ich meine Aktivitäten bei FB eingestellt und auch nichts bereut. Traditionen 🙃.

All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world.   I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked.

@SensesFail Nazis still do that in Germany (I'm German). But they carry their illegal weapons hidden. Nevertheless - as mentioned in the quoted tweet-thread - the call to arms is no solution. NRA needs to be smashed, Nazis need to be put to jail. Sounds simple, but it's not of course.
