Despicable boomer slop. Seniors are already the most subsidized demographic in the country while young people struggle to afford houses. The last thing we need to do is make it worse.

agree with lots of what jensen has been saying about ai and jobs; there is a ton of stuff to do in the world. people will 1) do a lot more than they could do before; ability and expectation will both go up 2) still care very much about other people and what they do 3) still be very driven by creating and being useful to others for sure jobs will be very different, and maybe the jobs of the future will look like playing games to us today while still being very meaningful to those people of the future. (people of the past might say that about us.) betting against human's ability to want more stuff, find new ways to play status games, ability to find new methods for creative expression, etc is always a bad bet. maybe human money and machine money will be totally different things, who knows, but we have a LOT of main character energy. more to come.

@danrwall @Michael_Druggan College and healthcare for you used to cost a nickel because taxes paid for them and boomers didn't ruin the healthcare system by making it for-profit yet. We just want the same for our kids so they don't have to struggle like we did under your reign.

@Michael_Druggan And your generation wants student loan forgiveness, free healthcare, free college etc. a few years of property taxes before we are unable to live independently or die is a drop in the bucket by comparison.

NEWS: Hyundai is asking suppliers for a total overhaul of its vehicle electronics to adopt an end-to-end 48V architecture, like what Tesla's Cybertruck has. Hyundai has concluded that the old 12V low-voltage architecture that has powered vehicle electronics since the 50s is no longer cutting it. Modern autonomous driver-assist, multimedia and communication systems, as well as features like drive-by-wire and rear steering, require much higher voltage. The company realizes that this is a huge undertaking that can't be accomplished overnight, so it wants to establish a 48V electronics supply chain gradually until 2029, with the ultimate goal to lower the cost of the expensive move.

Building in this coastal California city? You must post a construction sign, and buy it from the city’s sole “approved” print shop. No competitive pricing. Pure regulatory capture.

@jesselawson215 @ADingoAteMyXRP @Tesla FSD is very good, but it is not perfect. it does make mistakes, but if you're paying attention and supervising properly those mistakes are very easy to handle. if you weren't able to see that the car was going to drive under the closing Gates and flashing lights that's on you.

Oh my god … I’ve hit the big time and Dan O’Clown is trying to use me to push his sad narrative to try and bolster his failing company that cannot compete. He also takes what I said out of context (surprise). The only thing I was disappointed about yesterday is he didn’t step out from the bushes and throw a mannequin at the @robotaxi to try and capture another “shocking” video … so disappointed 😏 I guess the only thing left to achieve now is for him to block me … just imagine the sheer courage and conviction it will take Dan to hit that block button and show me up! C’mon Dan … do it! 🤓

While investigating @Adobe for deceptive subscription practices, we discovered an executive admitting that hidden early termination fees are “a bit like heroin” for the company. Subscription tricks and traps have surged as more firms become dependent on subscription-based revenue. It’s up to consumer protection enforcers and lawmakers to stop the abuse.

@tracewoodgrains The only comparison to Hitler will be when Homeland Security only wants to protect and promote you and your "heritage". Which seems like what they're doing if you're being honest.

I understand why people find it distasteful for DHS to post this given the Trump admin’s aggressively anti-immigration stance. But I viscerally, passionately hate this response and am disgusted at its popularity. This was in fact my heritage! Almost every line of my ancestors came from England, Denmark, and the eastern United States to cross the plains. My 3x great-grandmother Jane Brice came over at 10, saw her mother die during the crossing, saw her father choose to return when he saw Utah, and hid in a woodpile to stay. Another 3x grandmother, Jane Batchelor, saw her husband fall severely ill on the journey and was left pulling her handcart and caring for her two kids while eight months pregnant as he clung to life in the sick wagon. I don’t come from a long line of wealth or status. My pioneer ancestors dragged everything they owned across a country and often an ocean, making sacrifices hard for us to even imagine in 2025 in order to help build the prosperous civilization I was raised in and that has attracted people from around the world. These were the stories I was raised on, the tradition I was raised within, and it absolutely means something to me. Yes, I want to remember them and their sacrifices. Yes, I think new life in difficult circumstances is worth celebrating. Yes, I think their lives and their actions meant something. And yes, I wholeheartedly reject the notion that the hope that brought my ancestors to Utah is simply part of an endless litany of crimes to be repaid. A culture that compares that sentiment to Hitler, that sees this image as something to tear down, is rotten.

@chipwithdip44 @linamkhan I think we learned during the early 1900s that we need regulations for companies. Otherwise they will rent-seek and be predatory -- and restrict competition through other means. If you're worried about big vs small companies, govt can provide support for small cos other ways.
