@Crussian17 Would have to get personal trainer on board with this but a big concept I've adopted in my 40s is not training at full whack almost ever. Think of it as a 20 year journey instead, if I can add 10lb per YEAR to my lifts great. Or you risk both injury and making training no fun.

Used to work out a lot in my younger years but kids and injuries took their toll to the point where I basically hadn’t gone to the gym in a couple of years. Wifey in Jan got me a personal trainer who comes to the house and we work out 2-3 times a week here where he brings all the equipment based on my work schedule. Started out at 25% body fat beg of Jan (worst I’ve ever been as used to be below 10% in my early thirties) before our first workout and now 18% just three months later. Guess muscle memory comes quick if you used to work out before. No specific cardio workouts just eating better (mostly just not finishing what my young kids don’t eat) and just strength training. If i could just add a couple cardio Workouts a week I’m sure I could get below 15 pretty quick but knee and back issues makes it tough. Still prolly best shape in years so feels good at 44
