Even on his new shit like Janice STFU sonically, I like whisper my name, plot twist. The make them records (although I hate seeing the cope he deserves to get it off). But cmon man this mfer ain’t the goat of shit because algorithms and his career would be better off if ppl didn’t gas him up to think he can hang with big dawgs. Yeah jay z and 50 did that numbers talk. They also made the blueprint and get rich or die trying lol.

If you needed another reason why Drake is better than Kendrick Lamar, let’s talk about all the hit songs he wrote for other artists. Unthinkable - Alicia Keys 6th Sense - Kodak Black Yikes - Kanye West 30 Hours - Kanye West Facts - Kanye West I’m Single - Lil Wayne Mine - Beyoncé Not Nice - PARTYNEXTDOOR Fall For Your Type - Jamie Foxx I Been That Girl - Melanie Fiona R.I.P. - Rita Ora & Tinie Tempah Now what songs has Kendrick written for anybody that was this successful? If he’s written any? When it comes to rap, Drake will go down in history as one of the greatest of all time. The only reason we’re not calling him the GOAT yet is because we still hold the classic artists in such high regard. But in another ten years? We’re gonna have to say Drake is the greatest of all time.

@DeonSmithtkmy @erenwasrightt How you gonna tell me I didn’t grow up with Comeback season and replacement girl? Lmao. Just because my opinion has changed over the years doesn’t mean I never liked the dudes music in my life

That is true he is. But if you noticed in hip hop culture that simply doesn’t mean shit, like I said I love a lot of his songs even his big hits. But when you’re number 1 hits are One Dance, Slime you out etc that don’t put you in that upper echelon category just bc it’s accessible to white suburban moms more than Hard knock life lol

@rationprotocol @erenwasrightt Commercially he’s the GOAT if you wanna talk about bars and say he’s not cool but if we’re going off the stats he’s the biggest most successful rapper in history.

1) I grew up with Drake I like his older stuff and a bunch on iceman. I remember the day he dropped so far gone ep. 2) I don’t think he’s a great rapper I think he’s a song writer. I mean look at his list of songs he’s written he’s not Jay-Z writing Still Dre. This is what I truly think. He gave up making classic rap albums after NWTS and maximized his output on gigantic singles to become as commercially viable as possible, and succeeded. He is a product heavily backed by the industry, always was, and isn’t afraid to break the mold of traditional rap by remaining in its confines. For example, before him no rapper would ever release Find Your Love. Kanye wrote and produced the track for him, he released it. Would Jadakiss or Pusha t do that? No. He’s a major crossover act, but to put him in the same breath as guys like Jay Z imo is disrespectful.

The slim shady LP has fuckin Brain Damage, Guilty Conscience, if I had, role model, rock bottom, just don’t give a fuck, still don’t give af, as the world turns, bad meets evil. Every song I just named is a 10/10 Eminem song. Look how many that is in one album. Relapse has some 0/10 songs including Insane

@rationprotocol @vante_brookins_ People go listen to Relapse again The Slim Shady LP is a good album the reason is rated to high it's because it was Eminem first major album, Relapse, Recovery, MTBMB are all better than SSLP Relapse is on a league of it's own

Jay Z is not the greatest ever. That title to me belongs to Eminem. Lyricism Sales Streams Accolades Eminem has Jay by a large margin. Jay Z is and has always been just a constant of his generation. He was never truly dominant. Nas scorched him, and Em outsold him.

Bro the 2nd I hear “I was born with a dick in my brain, yeah, fucked in the head My stepfather said that I sucked in the bed 'Til one night he snuck in and said "We're going out back, I want my dick sucked in the shed" Can't we just play with Teddy Ruxpin instead? "After I fuck you in the butt, get some head Bust a nut, get some rest" The next day, my mother said” You gotta be joking dawg

Not only did I listen to them, I can remember where I was when they first dropped for each of them. Him coming back with Relapse was very exciting I remember the promotional single Crack A Bottle like it was yesterday. But his album were always so inconsistent and absolutely littered with corniness. His first 3 weren't like that at all. Insane on Relapse is god awful. We Made You is garbage. My mom and medicine ball also terrible. The best song on that album is Stay Wide Awake by far. But that album does not compare to the Black Album or hell even Blueprint 3 that came out the same year

I think Harlow was the closest thing that could carry on the mantle of Drake's succession. He raps well enough, and has already had like 3 chart toppers. I have no idea who could carry Cole's or Kendrick's. Baby Keem is closer to Drake mixed with a bit of others than he is to Kendrick. I dont see a person like Kendrick making complex concept albums that still have mainstream success and I dont see any future Coles at all

@rationprotocol @scaryhours5555 The sound of the new guys in their 20's is a product of the media shitting on the big 3's generation. It ruined hip-hop discourse 🤷🏾‍♂️ Now were stuck with a bunch of niggas that don't have HALF of the skill/talent those guys have bc they were shitted on in spite of their gifts.

They're trying to make the Billboard Hot 100 chart strictly Pop & Country. It's no way urban/black songs stand a chance with radio having as much power as it does. I rapper/singer will need a perfect 10/10 song like "Janice STFU" by a Drake type artist to compete with a 7/10 country song that's been out for 7 months.... Yeah, y'all got it

Drake's album HABIBTI is a classic no-skip!- “CLASIC” playing below, is a clasic! I think once people start listening to and become fully invested in “MAID OF HONOUR”, they will also realize these 3 albums, including ICEMAN, are some of the best music we have had in a long time. I honestly can't stop listening to all three of them singing my heart out🔽🔥

Hes still always gonna do numbers but the public perception has certainly changed. I was at the bar and his shit came on and they were all saying how hes a PDF. Im like hes not actually one lol. So the song will still get played regardless, ppl just gonna disparage him. Lost street cred, lost respect etc. My niece and nephew called him a creep lol to put into perspective

Drake haters: Drake got called a pedo on a world stage at the superbowl he’ll never recover from this funeral. Drake in 2026: Number 1 song in the country, Number 1 album in the country, 43 percent of the hot 100 billboard, and 40 percent of the songs of the summer. Some funeral.

Oh id consider them the previous generation given they're all either 40 or almost 40. Yeah you have a point but at the same time the Hov vs. Nas debate was also very toxic. And cant forget the Em Stans who never even gave the others a listen once he went internationally famous. But yeah social media has ruined everything for sure. The perfect example IMO is that chick Doechii. I heard of her during covid. She had songs on YouTube and felt like a Tyler The Creator type but rapped better them him imo. She debuted and her mixtape felt so refreshing like id had heard Cilvia Demo or So Far Gone for the first time. She was publicly disparaged online simply bc she was signed to the FORMER label of Kendrick Lamar lol. I was so confused of all the hate for awhile I couldn't figure out what it stemmed from. My question was more about the new gen artists. I couldn't tell you who's in their 20s and looks like an emerging superstar besides Doechii and Baby Keem (and hes still questionable) Yeat I guess?
