@albertwenger Any provider that supports openvpn is a good choice. Sorry can’t recommend a provider since I run my own. Tip: use tcp protocol and not udp. When you wake up your laptop from sleep, it’ll reconnect a lot faster.

@ernestsemerda @hunterwalk @anchor It's about the focus on the creator, not the creation of the podcast itself. @anchor also offers easy distribution to various platforms and monetization among other things.

@hunterwalk Yes that's a fair distinction except that all these platforms are also discovery tools. No? At least that's how I often use them. In my mind, the lack of a creation/consumption platform for podcasting makes discovery harder.

@hunterwalk I see your points, but how's it different from blogging (Wordpress, Medium), music (Spotify, Soundcloud) and short-form video (Youtube)? Except maybe the size of the audience wasn't as big in the past.
