I enjoy the anonymity and leisure of a day exploring a city by myself, but it gets to a point where you feel almost like a ghost wandering invisibly through busy streets, parks, and shopping centers

@Seb__flyte1 If two different rivers, or a river and a body of water, can make a peninsula, then every single point of land on any landmass with rivers is part of a peninsula.

I’m not a fan of the definition of a peninsula that would include rivers, which typically flow above sea level over land, as a body of water. Leads to some absurdity, like the whole of New Jersey being a peninsula (I remember asking my 8th grade geography teacher about this).

I also never figured out who to offer the second seat I bought 🤷‍♂️

I should be down a couple more pounds by then but fitting into any of my dress shirts will be out of the question. Not that dressing up for it is a necessity but I still feel like a slob whenever I'm out in public

Taking control of your body in the American abundant food environment basically means accepting that "snacks", as commonly understood, do not exist

Also I kind of just low-key don't believe that hair products are real. As in, I don't believe they have the efficacy people attribute to them. Back in college I tried using a hair gel and it literally did *nothing* unless I put an entire huge slimy handful in.

Reading the discourse about hairstyles and hair products in this thread and realizing I have a millennial undercut not because I'm unstylish, but because I'm lazy and don't want to have to learn about or use hair products.

Learned how to cook back in 2020 but have now basically given up on cooking non-ground meat other than maybe occasional chicken breast or thighs cause I don't have the time or motivation for all that

@mvndorvmignitor It's the idea that your daily life, or the life you actually have to yourself after work, commute, sleep, and basic chores and self-maintenance, is just 4 hours long. Presumably some careers have a "life" of even fewer hours.

It's kind of hopeless anyway. Since I began reading again about 6 years ago, maybe one out of every ten books I manage to finish in less than a month, if I finish them at all
