"AI is going to be the antidote to the managerial revolution of the 20th century. All this power that was sucked away from the frontline workers, who actually knew what they were doing, to an amorphous blob of middle managers — that's being reversed. All the bureaucracy is getting cut." x.com/tbpn/status/20…

This has a struck a chord with many. Probably why there's a lot of truth to it. Highlights most people's inability to deal with any sort of nuance.

People like to mock "vibe coding" — but everyone who does is missing the point, it's the core skill set of the future. Across departments. It's all converging to engineering. The same way knowledge workers are expected to know things like Excel, now and in the future they will be expected to know how to build real things. The difference is they will have to know to build things connected to systems and data, not create silos of information. The amount of content that gets generated inside of companies, the time that goes into it, is mostly completely useless. Engineers know how to build scalable things. Other departments typically do not. This is the required skill set going forward.

@rauchg @vercel @v0 The future of “x (design, marketing, sales, etc)”…is engineering

I open-sourced my writing voice. 50,000 tweets distilled into one file. Drop it into any AI and it writes like me. github.com/visualizevalue…

I’ll say something very clearly, as an Anthropic customer: Dario’s doom statements are clickbait baloney. Here’s what I’m betting on… #1 AI is going to create tremendous change in our world. It’s another Industrial Revolution for sure. #2 Humans have always found new work to do when machines replaced their work. #3 I will be paying my teammates a lot more money in the future as their jobs shift upstream to commanding an army of agents, creating way more value for the world. #4 Competition and brand will be harder and we’ll need to invest a lot more there. #5 Whenever someone tells you the world is ending, watch what they DO, not what they SAY.

@fahdananta @Uber Took an Uber to work the other day and it was so much better than driving. Would easily pay for this.

Request for feature @Uber: Recurring Black car service - Recurring weekday rides - Always need to go from A to B at X time and B to A at Y time - Black car that just waits at that time - Monthly flat fee - Allows some variance like changing up location or extra stop or cancellation - Same driver, makes it easy for drivers to also have income consistency - Can build this on top of existing reserve a ride feature I would join Uber for 2 weeks to build this, sign up as the first customer, and then resign

I think an exciting and overlooked part of AI eating software is the acceleration of more scenarios where the buyer is also the user. Buying software has been archaic for so long, many parts of that process should and will be deleted.

the orchestration layer is the new interface layer. as we spend our day coordinating agent workflows (in a model agnostic fashion, local and cloud) and validating outputs (human in the loop, and resolving issues), the ultimate layer to own is where coordination takes place.

The ability to become AI native is a gift for every SaaS company. Most won't make the transformation. The amount of non-doers inside of technology companies is bigger than most realize. Those that embrace this shift will be rewarded.
