A bird? A plane? Nope! This is a rocket engine pintle! This is one part of the KSD booster engine injector system! These photos were taken during a water flow test of the engine hardware, in which the team attempts to categorize the efficacy of the orifices. Questions? Tweet us!

Last November, we scrubbed the launch of our Lady Elizabeth rocket due to issues with our recovery system. After making fixes over winter break, we are now ready to go back out for another launch attempt on February 1st! #rockets #sdsu #university #launch
