One of my favorite artifacts from designing Wakandan tech for Black Panther. I loved this layout & color scheme, so I made a cyan alternate just so I could say "this is what any other movie would do". Sometimes 'proof-of-non-concept' is very persuasive tool.

We want to thank the judges for the kind words and valuable feedback. @guidorosso, glad you noticed the style consistency we put across all the work. We tried to get it as a unified entry as possible. We always appreciate your support, mate! Helmut, thanks a lot for the kind words and the Hyundai comparison comments. Such an honor to hear that, and it means a lot coming from a specialist in the field like you. John, many thanks for going deep into the filming details and storytelling process. We put a lot of effort into the presentation, and thanks for the "lawbreaker" extra points. @zoecolivas incredible hosting as usual! This project was developed within the challenge timeframe, with some extra hours put into it (after our work) each day of the challenge. A topic we've been wanting to dive into for a while, HMI experiences, so this was the perfect opportunity to bring it in finally. We also used it as a chance to experiment with a different way of presenting context, leaning more into storytelling / cinematic and grounding it in practical use cases with a fictional short. Huge thanks to the team and friends who collaborated on the entry and to the community that engaged with it. We had a great time working on it. A single story merging multiple use cases. • Onewheel HMI, adding a new interface layer to Airwheel • Helmet HMI, extending an LS2 helmet • Car HMI, reimagined for a Hyundai IONIQ 5 concept With a small extra: a Spaceship Cruiser Navigation concept at the end. Seems like HMI is having a moment🚗⏱️ Just finished judging for the @rive_app @contra HMI competition. So much great work in there. Very happy to see HMI (Human Machine Interface) getting love (and much needed attention) from the creative community.

[1/5] Update on the product configurator template I am building in @UnrealEngine and @rive_app ! 🛠️ This time I worked on the material changing system. I want the whole configurator to be as modular as possible, so the same goes for the material switching.

Getting a bunch of questions about this! It's a full gpu rendering pipeline with built in shader editor for @rive_app, which can interleave 2D + 3D. Think WebGPU (minus compute, for now) that runs anywhere, not just the browser. You can implement anything at all. Cell shading. Background blurs. Deformation effects. And yes, even Rive vector components as textures. Shaders are precompiled and ship with your .riv. Minimal runtime size impact. Still WIP.

@MahinR171991 No Doesn't replace 3D software. Currently, adding 3D elements to your user interface often means depending on game engines such as Unity or Unreal. This will no longer be the case once Rive introduces 3D capabilities.

Some WIP HMI/HUD design I used to design in Illustrator for film/TV and prototypes - but now when I'm working on something interactive, I find that it's best to just start in @rive_app It's better for optimization and a more holistic approach to product building and game dev
