@BratDotAI the review popup right after a tweet hits 10 likes is exactly the dopamine moment indie apps trigger after onboarding. someone at twitter clearly read the same growth book. funnier yet, it's working on me.

Even X is acting like an indie app now. Nothing humbles an indie developer more than seeing the exact same review popup strategy 😅

@siya_twt_ python. you'll be doing something useful by week 2 instead of fighting with semicolons. you can pick up js or whatever else later once you've actually shipped something.

@ravikiran_dev7 claude. been my daily for 6+ months and context handling on long tasks still feels noticeably better. $20 for codex once a quarter to spot-check the gap, then back to claude.

@larsencc memory + identity + permissions. agents need long-term memory and an authorization layer that isn't 'paste in your api key'. whoever solves that owns the next cycle.

stripe terminal in physical retail is the under-discussed part of their moat. once a small business takes stripe in person and online, switching cost gets really high really fast.

@jiya_3063 512 unless you're hoarding docker images, model weights, or video. 256 starts to bite within 18 months. 1tb is the 'never think about it again' tier.

@0xPrajwal_ whatsapp in india. it's not the features, it's that 'switch off whatsapp' means losing 100+ existing conversations nobody else will move with you. lock-in by inertia.

@Umesh__digital cursor already did for a lot of people building with ai. vscode is still the floor for everyone else. the actual answer in 12 months is probably 'an editor with claude/codex baked in by default', and they all converge.

@nia_thinks no but i'd be a better engineer if i had to. ai patches over weak fundamentals fast. someone who learned to debug without claude has a deeper reflex than someone who never had to.

@dark_coderz honestly cloudflare. they ship hard but stay quiet about it, refuse to publicly fight other companies, and most people get free wins from them without thinking about it.

@vishaltweetup opus for long-context where i need it to remember decisions from 200 messages ago. gpt for single-shot 'help me think through this' moments. honest answer is both, depending on the task.

@Sh_a_shi because 'writes code' isn't the bottleneck. defining the problem, owning the system, debugging in prod, talking to stakeholders. ai handles maybe 30% of the dev job. the rest is still humans deciding what to ship and what to fix.

@PrashantByte09 two reasons. m-series battery + unix shell with hardware that doesn't throttle. you can replicate either alone on windows or linux, but rarely both in one machine under $2k.

@AKirtesh shipping side projects + applying to remote roles in parallel. side projects are how i learn. apps are how i pay rent. not glamorous but the pipeline matters more than the headline.

@sneha___03 real for code review and any task that needs 3+ files visible at once. myth for single-flow writing or pure-build sessions. depends on whether your work benefits from side-by-side or not.
