Hunter Biden was the most written about ''failed son'' in America, and then in one week he stopped being written about and started writing the story himself. For a decade the narrative belonged to everyone but him. The laptop. The addiction. The business deals. The conviction. The pardon that hung over his name like a verdict that never finished. Reporters built careers on his collapse. He stayed quiet and took it. Then in late May he logged back onto X and something flipped. His posts started pulling millions of views within days. The man the world had written off was suddenly setting the news cycle in real time. The same reporters who covered his downfall now refreshed his timeline for material. He didn't apologize for the past. He didn't beg for sympathy. He just started talking, and people couldn't stop listening. The lowest card in the deck turned the entire table. The president he'd been defined by even got asked about him in the Oval Office. Sometimes the person everyone counted out isn't finished. They're just waiting for the room to go quiet so they can finally speak for themselves.

Oh please. If Nick Clegg wanted to expose the dark underbelly of Silicon Valley he could breach his NDA & dish the dirt. Instead he pocketed an alleged $100m & is laundering his reputation with assistance from UK media

I've been driving around the Scottish Highlands for a few days and I've noticed a big difference in towns compared to where I live in Devon. In Devon, whenever you drive into a town you have to pay to park. That's before you spend anything in shops, bars, cafes etc. Councils consider car drivers as the enemy. A mere cash cow. If you park - YOU PAY. Hence, many people now avoid town centres like the plague or they severely limit the number of times they visit. For the past few days I've stopped off in many towns across the North of Scotland. I've parked in council car parks and not once have I been confronted with a ticket machine, a barrier or an ANPR camera. And guess what? I've actually been into shops, cafes, restaurants etc and spent money. In so doing, I've helped the businesses to do what they do best - Providing goods and services to their communities. Communities free from paying extortionate amounts of money to local councils for the "privilege" of being able to park up and visit businesses who rely on their custom. Councils "down South" should take notice. If you price drivers out of towns, they stay away, businesses close and the town dies. The evidence is everywhere. (And yes, I know Internet shopping is another enemy of the High Street so I don't need to be informed about that).

If this is accurate, the most important detail right now is the one that's missing: the identity of the victim. A vehicle explosion near an area associated with military or Defense Ministry personnel will immediately trigger speculation about assassination, sabotage, organized crime, or other targeted activity. But until authorities identify the victim and provide preliminary findings, it's difficult to distinguish between a deliberate attack and other possibilities. What often happens in cases like this is that people jump straight to motive before the basic facts are established. In reality, investigators typically start with three questions: - Who was in the vehicle? - Was the explosion caused from within or from an external device? - Was the victim specifically targeted? The location makes the story geopolitically interesting, but the victim's identity is what will determine whether this becomes a local criminal case, a political incident, or something with broader security implications. So the real question is: Who was the intended target, and does the method suggest a personal attack, a criminal dispute, or a message aimed at a wider audience?

BREAKING: This morning I, Anthony Andrews, received a “demand” letter from the lawyers of the President and First Lady via FedEx. I guess it is a cease and desist of sorts. It is 6 pages long and references numerous social media posts relating to Donald Trump and separately Melania. The scale of what the posts cover would allow for discovery to be sensational. The broad terms mentioned regarding my posts about Donald Trump would allow, if litigated, the world to see the extent to which the president is willing to go to evade accountability. The posts referencing Melania have also been similarly referenced over the years by thousands of people publicly. As a messenger, I posted what was shared with me by a first person witness. I have them on their toes and am obviously very much over the target. More details to come. If they’re coming after me, they will eventually come after everyone.

@Manifesttext @raelbrav @elonmusk I wonder why? Rael Braverman (husband of British politician Suella Braverman) is of South African-Israeli origin, but holds British nationality. Born in April 1975, he was originally from South Africa before moving to the UK as a teenager and previously lived in Israel.

Starmer, you useless incompetent clown. Accusing @elonmusk of “whipping up division” while your two-tier policing leaves British kids bleeding out in handcuffs after being stabbed? One day you’ll be booted out of Downing Street and back to some low-grade middle manager shit job that perfectly suits your zero talent. You’ll be a forgotten footnote of failure. Meanwhile @elonmusk will be getting on with Starship Mars missions, Optimus Gen 3 robots, Neuralink, Grok accelerating scientific discovery, Tesla, and Starlink connecting the world.

I see your profile picture. That’s Johnny Cash. My hero too. Arrested seven times. Smuggled 668 amphetamines across the Mexican border in 1965. Took every drug there was and drank like I did. Cheated on his first wife. Slept with more woman than I ever did. Hit bottom in a cave in Tennessee in 1968 trying to crawl off and die. And then he got up. He got clean. He spent the rest of his life singing for prisoners and addicts and the people the country threw away because he knew he was one of them. That was the whole point of the Man in Black. He wore it for the poor and the beaten down. He wore it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime. He wore it for the ones who never heard a word of Jesus. He wore it for the addicted and the dying. He wore it as a standing witness that no one is past saving. You picked his picture. You did not pick his message. Try listening to the words.

Things most Americans agree on: Groceries cost too much. Tariffs suck and make no sense. Congress and Presidents shouldn’t trade stocks. The debt is a mess. The border should be secure, but legal immigration is good. Endless wars are stupid, especially ones that nobody wants and have never been explained. Americans are exhausted. AI is like my new best friend that also might be trying to take my job, my ability to think for myself, and my humanity in the process. Yo like I love you, but WTF, but I still love you. Diversity is actually awesome! The opposite is boring AF. Canadians are super fucking cool. Mexicans are chill. Putin isn’t a good guy looking out for America’s best interest. Rocky IV and Miracle are great movies. Good neighbors are a blessing. Freedom of religion and coexistence without having to blow each other up is probably a good idea. We all question, are we alone in the universe? We all fuck up along the way. Epstein didn’t hang himself. The Trumps and Epstein were best friends for decades. It’s like Bert trying to tell us Ernie was just an acquaintance in the same social scene on Sesame Street back in the day. The Cowboys suck. Go Birds! Things we’re told to fight about: Me. Laptop. Vaccines. Transgenders in sports. Pronouns. That’s the joke.

@donmcgowan That's the problem these days . Good writing is what AI models feed off. So, when you read AI-generated text all day (as I do), what might be seen as good writing style looks as if it is AI-generated: 'This isn't any old tweet. It's a Don McGowan tweek.' 'It. Is. NOT.' etc.

Over the last 36 hours, we have witnessed the very soul of Nigel Farage — his essence. It has been over a month since he went into hiding, since serious questions began to be raised over his undeclared £5M donation. A month since he appeared in front of TV cameras or underwent any questioning at all. At 8am yesterday morning, Farage released a video, from a field somewhere, calling for rage. Calling for an end to the mythical two-tier policing. Make no mistake, those were very carefully chosen words — he understood what he was unleashing, and his wish was granted last night in Southampton. On Tuesday, the Home Secretary made a statement to the House regarding the murder of Henry Nowack. There was, as always, an opportunity to question Shabana Mahmood — was Nigel Farage in attendance? No, of course not. Today, Farage was granted a question at PMQs — the showpiece spectacle of the political week in which the country's news and politics fanatics tune in to watch — was Nigel Farage in attendance? Yes, of course he was. He had somehow found his way into work after missing 77 separate votes in Parliament because … he would, at least for three minutes, be the centre of the country's political attention. His question was about the murder of Henry Nowack and the violence that erupted [on his command] last night, but he would not condemn it or call for calm. Instead, he 'suggested' that this rioting might escalate. This afternoon, he has performatively written to the BBC because someone on Newsnight dared to accuse him of inciting the violence — playing his perpetual victim card. Again. And there we see the soul of Nigel Farage — a craven, desperate for attention, evil, petty and pointless man. END RANT.

@donmcgowan Be warned. Possible AI indicators: Prose is unusually polished for a spontaneous social media post. Several paragraphs follow a repetitive pattern that AI can produce well. Phrases such as "the very soul of Nigel Farage" and "his essence" are somewhat theatrical and formulaic.

@TheFrameBlogX @danbarker The UK should have completed conversion to the metric system decades ago. We switched ‘overnight’ (there were months of govt information programmes before) from 240 pennies/20 shillings in a pound to 100 pence. Why did we stop there?

@ronnieandreggie @danbarker Well, the US IS quite large, & has been quite important. I don't know why you're arguing with me; I find conversion from Fahrenheit very tricky - I just think that the more one knows, the better, & I need to translate dimensions across countries and centuries...

In one of the corners of Trafalgar Square, you'll find the 'imperial standards of length', cast in bronze. They were put there in 1876, 150 years ago this year, so members of the public could compare their own measuring devices to make sure they were accurate.

L’anti-impérialisme à géométrie variable, ça porte un nom : l’hypocrisie. theguardian.com/world/2026/mar…
