@seldomusedres Laguernic being able to dot up a 97 mph FB and then back it up with a 83 mph BB….from the left side I might add, is just filth. I saw more tools from this pitching staff this weekend than I have from any pitching staff we’ve had over the last decade.

@futt_buckerson @PeteThamel This transfer portal window has been the worst yet as far as tampering and may be the final straw that breaks the camels back (I sure as hell hope at least). Teams and schools are just now figuring out ways to combat it. And I think the legal battles are just beginning.

The argument Mensah's lawyers make here is that the TRO that prevents him from enrolling in another school "could permanently foreclose opportunities for Mensah to enroll at other collegiate institutions." The Feb. 2 hearing would be after "critical enrollment deadlines" have passed.

Duke QB Darian Mensah has filed a request to reconsider the temporary restraining order. It also asks for an expedited preliminary injunction hearing. It also asks the court to "reconsider" the earlier TRO ruling that prevents him from enrolling in another institution "in light of new evidence" and to "prevent manifest injustice."

@AriRussell @PeteThamel I get your point. And if temple had legal ground to stand on via his contract then I’m fine with whatever consequences would have come from that.

@roughdraft10 @PeteThamel Okay perhaps it’s something coach Manny Diaz should also have considered when he signed a contract with Temple and then ten days later he signed with Miami to be their HC. Did he face any consequences for that?

@futt_buckerson @PeteThamel Not a Duke fan…never been a Duke fan…and never will be a Duke fan. If he doesn’t want to be at Duke then they shouldn’t force him to be at Duke. I wouldn’t want him there at this point if I was a Duke fan. But if he’s forced to miss out on other opportunities then so be it.

@bcato8 @HillWatch Cade called the play action on 4th and 11 against that blitz?? The offensive scheme we’ve ran the past 3 years is a joke. He’s getting paid 1.75 mil/yr..results matter. Whether he’s handcuffed or not, he’s not a good fit. It didn’t work. Move on.

@bcato8 @HillWatch Running a play action on 4th and 11 when you had to have it against basically an all out blitz is quite the strategy. The offensive woes 100% fall on he and Dabs. He’s getting paid 1.75 mil/yr to fix it and he hasn’t done it….PERIOD.

South Carolina’s records against power conference competition in men’s baseball, men’s basketball and football were a combined 10-58 this year. Good for a winning percentage of 14%.

Dabo Swinney says the state of CFB officiating is a bad system that needs change: “In the meantime we got gambling issues going on and people are being suspended…refs are people too. If they are a part of the game they ought to be part of the accountability and consequences.”

@tjmcaulay Being able to review certain calls protects the ref even more and assures the right call is made. The debate would be which calls are allowed to be challenged…but it would definitely benefit the sport. I get being a ref is a tough job…this could make that job easier.

@tjmcaulay where he’s wrong in his “temper tantrum”….what’s wrong with accountability? The system is flawed for both sides. Allow coaches to challenge certain calls in game to assure we get it right. We review everything else, why the hell can’t we review certain calls.
