Fiction helps us develop empathy, or at least compassion, to understand why a person might make decisions differently than ourselves. If a person can only read books where the MC thinks like themselves, that shows a deep problem within the reader…

You know what??? Sometimes you just have to take a break from everything else you're writing... or give up on it for a while... and chase a new idea. I'm going to start writing my Twilight retelling today. I think this is my real calling.

I miss being inspired by her dedication and work ethic. I miss her so much. I am not a whole person without her. But I can still remember her, still love her, still take joy in every moment we shared

On my sister's birthday, I'd like to share a little bit about her 💕 She was a talented athlete, running marathons, half-marathons, & triathlons and often placing near/at the top of her age/gender. She shared this love & mentored young girls by volunteering her time as a coach
