I really did it! I’m in disbelief! Ran my marathon in 3:45:58! Beat my goal time by 4 minutes, even! I’m so happy!! Oh and it rained the last 20 miles of it!

Can we normalize putting summaries on the back of books again instead of reviews? I just genuinely want to know what the book is about before picking it up.

@MrsRuvi Gym with groceries on way home? It’s tough. I procrastinated before basement workout for an hour. 😂😂

@c20h10n2 I LOVE it!! I appreciate someone going hoarse for me and others. I often have no one at a race, let alone someone someplace on course ‘cheering.’ Now I’ve been spectating a few times and I love cheering! I’m creative of what I say, mindful o&b or multiple loops, tho!

What is your opinion on runners at a race who cheer for everyone? On course, "way to go", "keep it up", "good job"? Helpful, or not so much?

I spend thousands with @indeed each year, for some reason as of this week our job postings are getting zero impressions. Our account seems to be bugged. When I call Indeed they tell me everything looks fine, despite the fact that our impressions/applicants have dropped by 90% and our advertising costs have gone up! I'm all of the sudden paying $100s of dollars for ONE applicant. Indeed support says "I should try apply on indeed" as if this didn't happen overnight.. I've turned off sponsorship and still nothing. Has anyone been through similar?

1 mile treadmill run, strength fitness class, and then a migraine. My dinner ended up being an apple and half a halo top ice cream. I suppose I probably won’t feel good in the am.

The split-second decision when someone asks what I'm reading and I have to decide: tell them about 1 book, or try to explain I'm actually reading 5 different books and none of them are close to being finished?

@smokinscientist Depends on the person for me. Some keep talking and it’s 40 minutes later and I got things to do!

This is me 100%. Not sure why so many are so averse to talking out something for 5-10 minutes rather than sending back and forth messages for 2-4 hours.

@cecsquared I used to write down every single purchase I made, down the coffee and library fine, color code with highlighter the category and super helpful in seeing where to save. 👍💯 congrats!

I also have worked hard to find supplemental income and I live in a part of the country with low cost of living. I drive a 20 year old car. I go to the library and don’t buy books or movies. Start the spreadsheet. It won’t fix everything, but it’s a starting point.

I’m at a point in my life where I’m able to buy a house because 18 months ago I began meticulously tracking my spending and gave myself small budgets for non-essentials. It hasn’t been beans and rice, but everything outside of the essentials has been planned.
